Huge NFL Predictions Week #9
Huge predictions always starts out with a JETS preview.
This Sunday is an exciting game of anticipation for the Jets.
Coming off the bye week and 2 straight wins, the Jets are rejuvenated and confident coming into their matchup with the Bills in Buffalo.
Jets realize they must focus on shutting down Fred Jackson and the rest should follow.
NYJ offensive line seems in tact for the big push getting Greene some space.
All optimism prevails here as this is a big test.
We'll get a good feel for where Sanchez and company are at after this.
But I smell a beautiful road win.
For my predictions:
BUCCANEERS (4-3) @ SAINTS (5-3)
For 1st place in the NFC south Tampa can make quite a statement on a season that has yet to be fluid for them. If they can come away with a win in New Orleans and be in 1st place after their slow start, then that be amazing for the Bucs.
In all likelyhood the Saints coming off a disastrous loss to the Rams will look to tie up all loose ends to the best of their ability, and should be enough to beat Tampa, who just has not found themselves.
Freeman and all offensive parts have sputtered. They might see some good play against N.O. but will have a tough time keeping up with the cool Brees.
SAINTS win!! 37-21
49ers (6-1) @ REDSKINS (3-4)
Talk about 2 teams going in opposite directions?
San Francisco is on a wave set by the confidence bestowed upon them by their dynamic coach Jim Harbaugh.
Washington is a confused team without a core identity.
I like the efficiency in the way Alex Smith is handling this situation luckily to have such a solid RB in Frank Gore to make play action so believable.
49ers win!! 23-20
BRONCOS (2-5) @ RAIDERS (4-3)
Raiders will rebound and make Carson Palmer look like an all pro.
We'll all take it with a grain of salt, but i believe Tebow will have a difficult time escaping the black hole in Oakland.
despite Mcfadden being out, the Raiders will explode the air with heyward Bey and Boss.
Denver lost in translation.
Raiders win! 24-16
GIANTS (5-2) @ PATRIOTS (5-2)
Patriots are about to lose 2 in a row.
Oh they remember the super bowl all right...but certain things have not improved for New England, and it will play right into the strengths of the giants.
Sure thing Brady will have his moments, but Eli has been too hot and will remain that way for the PATS secondary.
Look for Manning to have a big game and GIANTS Defensive line to massage Brady all day. Could look like a shootout, and I like the NY boys to do it!
Giants win! 38-34
RAVENS (5-2) @ STEELERS (6-2)
Payback time!
steelers remember well the week one loss in crushing fashion to the Ravens.
Now Pitt with more momentum as Baltimore has struggled the last 2 weeks.
Big ben has got things in a groove and he won't be stopped. Only question is can Steelers defense stay consistent and shut down Flacco?
I think they can.

NFL season moving on quickly to week #6 with lots of excitement and surprises in both conferences.
The JETS have been a surprise in a disappointing way.
They did what they had to do winning their 2 home openers, but then failed in the next 3 road contests. something that they had become accustomed to performing well in.
Now the Jets need to simplify what's left at 2-3. The start of that story is to end up 4-3 going into the bye week. JETS win the next 2 games and they'll feel comfortable in that position.
The focus right now is on Miami. Despite the Dolphins 0-4 record, they still impose a big rivalry with the Jets. Look for the Dolphins to bring their best, but the JETS will also be dialed in too impress at home. Sanchez usually learns from his mistakes, and he is quite eager to get out there and prove himself for this big MNF home game.
49ers (4-1) @ LIONS (5-0)
It's LIONS mania in Detroit right now, and there's lots of surprise and encouragement with San Francisco and the quick start for new head coach Jim Harbaugh.
Lions might just be a little overly eager in this one, while the philosophy of Harbaugh is to keep it close and let the other team make the mistakes.
In this contest Stafford and company just might do that.
However taking into account this strong Lions defense, and the way they held off the Bears after trailing 10-0, I like the LIONS at home but in a very close game.

BILLS (4-1) @ GIANTS (3-2)
The Bills are another one of those big surprise teams. They have an interesting combination of intelligence and blue collar ethics at their leadership positions. The pairing of Fitzpatrick at QB and Fred Jackson running the ball, has Buffalo rolling.
The Giants coming off one of their worst home loses in recent memory, have a chance for redemption. I'm thinking they're going to get it, but not without a huge fight from The Bills.
I just feel Eli will be dialed in on offense, and the defense will be dialed in on disrupting and sacking Fitzpatrick.

EAGLES (1-4) @ REDSKINS (3-1)
I believe the bleeding stops here for the Eagles.
Vick and the Philly offense will calculate against a strong Redskins D!
I just don't think Washington's offense has enough to win this game.
They will run the ball but can they do it effectively?
Eagles are desperate and should play like it.
The matchup favors Philly despite being on the road.
Without a total disastrous meltdown by Vick, I see the Eagles winning this one easily.

TEXANS (3-2) @ RAVENS (3-1)
Texans had a chance to make a major move for the 1st time in their history at a 4-1 record, but blew a faithful game at home to the Raiders.
Now they go on the road to face a rested and potent Ravens football team.
Texans also without their top receiver Andre Johnson may struggle on offense if Arian Foster can't effectively do the job.
I like the Ravens at home with a balanced attack on offense and one of the most consistent and feared defenses in the NFL 14 years running.
Flacco and Rice get it done.

In other action I like FALCONS over Panthers, BENGALS over Colts, RAIDERS over Browns, PATRIOTS to destroy the Cowboys, and BUCCANEERS to upset the Saints.

Huge NFL Predictions Week #4
Week 4 of the NFL poses a great challenge for many teams.
One being the NY JETS.
Jets had a golden opportunity last week to go 3-0 after winning their 1st two home games of the season, but blew a 17-7 lead to the Raiders and lost 34-24.
Now Jets have to play in hostile Baltimore, former home of Jets head coach Rex Ryan. Ravens don't plan on making it easy for the Jets.
This will be a top notch challenge as will the next contest against the Patriots.
For Sunday night Jets defense must contain the Raven ground game, and not turn the ball over on offense. Pressure will be on Sanchez.
Shonn Green must have a big game, and look for Santonio Holmes to be available off the quick blitz.
Jets have a good shot here. Look for a low scoring close battle.
REDSKINS (2-1) @ RAMS (0-3)
I like the RAMS to get their 1st win of the season at home here against Washington. This is the must win game for them. because it's their 3rd home game out of 4 games played, and must take advantage of this opportunity as things will not get better after this.
Skins are coming off a horrible loss to the Cowboys, and look inept in the passing game.
Sam Bradford needs to get clicking, and with a healthy Steven Jackson they should prevail.
RAMS win 24-20
LION 3-0 @ COWBOYS (2-1)
I like the LIONS to keep it going to 4-0!!
I believe they learned something last week in the comeback against Minnesota, and are ready to take advantage of the holes in this Cowboy defense. Surely the Lions Defense is going to be all over Tony Romo and his delicate situation.
Stafford to Johnson is a lethal combination, and it will be on display sunday in Dallas.
Lions Win 28-24
STEELERS (2-1) @ TEXANS (2-1)
This is a huge home game for the Texans, and i think they overcome the big Pittsburgh obstacle and upset the Steelers at home.
Their defense has been suspect to give up fourth quarter leads, but i think tomorrow they hang on and win the game.
The offense behind the smoking Schaub and receiving of Andre Johnson will be accompanied by the return of Arrian Foster. This will force big Ben into an offensive showdown which the Steelers will not be able to keep up with at the end. I see a tight game but with the TEXANS winning.

49ers (2-1) @ EAGLES (1-2)
The 49ers are off to a good start at 2-1 under new had coach and former NFL QB Jim Harbaugh.
The Eagles are not off to a good start after all the hype and huge expectations.
Michael Vick has had trouble staying healthy and on the field.
The whole team has a chip on their shoulder and I believe that will be expressed in this game and taken out on San Francisco.
If Eagles are going to do anything all season it must start right here.
Offense is due to explode led by Desean Jackson, McCoy and Vick.
Philly defense should give Alex Smith all he can handle.

NFL Predictions week # 3
The NFL story for 2011 starts to really take shape in week 3, and the New York Jets couldn't be happier after winning their first 2 home games to open the season.
Those were games they were expected to win, and they did.
Now it's the road show and something the Jets have done very well over the last 2 seasons under Rex Ryan.
Look for NYJ to go into Al Davis country and punch a Raider in the stomach.
Raiders are Improved, but defensively they haven't shown up, maybe since they lost Rex's brother as Defensive coordinator to Dallas!?
Whatever the reason, Sanchez and the Jets weapons will out perform Jason Campbell and the Raider attack. As long as Jets control Darren Mcfadden in the back field, they should pull off the coast to coast victory.
PATRIOTS 2-0 @ BILLS 2-0
This is a matchup that has the Bills and their fans pumped up. It's been ten years since this team has been excited about a home game, and they should after the surprising 2-0 start. However don't get too excited Buffalo fans! This is a seasoned and determined Tom Brady coming into town against an Intellectual and productive Ryan Fitzpatrick. But I think the Pats won't be derailed this early in the season to inter division rival Bills.
Buffalo beat a lost defense in KC and the held on after a shootout against the Raiders. Fred Jackson can be effective in the run game, but Bills defense will not stop Brady and company.
New England wins 38-24
LIONS 2-0 @ VIKINGS 0-2
The surprising team of the entire league so far is no doubt the Detroit Lions.
Especially since they have won 6 straight dating back to the end of last season. Detroit needs hope, and that will continue as they face a confused Minnesota Vikings team that outside of Adrian Peterson, has concerns about their role.
Donovan Mcnabb is displaying the closing ceremonies of a now well traveled veteran ready to head off into the sunset.
The combo of youth, speed and size with Stafford and Charles Johnson has Lions hungry for this huge road victory to spread their rath over the league.
Vikings go down fighting but Lions win 34 - 28
GIANTS 1-1 @ EAGLES 1-1
Big time divisional battle here for pride and glory. Gmen will bring the running game, and on defense the pass rush, but all parts must perform to their greatest ability for the Giants to pull this one out.
Despite a healthy Michael Vick or not the Eagles will be swarming Eli Manning and the NYG front line. This game is big for Philly and I think they pull it off no matter who's at QB. Giants are banged up at wide receiver and in the secondary. Eagles looking to stake claim on the division.
Tight game at hand but Eagles win 20-17
In other games I like Drew Brees and the Saints to win a shootout over the Texans 44-38
I also like Bengals over 49er's at home, Panthers over Jaguars, Ravens over Rams, Chargers to beat the Chiefs, Buccaneers over Falcons, and for the Bears to upset the Packers at home.

NFL Predictions week #1
The NFL regular season is back!
It started with a big boom thursday night as the Super Bowl Champion Packers held off the high flying Saints.
Now Sunday Football is here.
The Jets come in with their most highly anticipated season in team history.
Everything seems prime to win now!!
Jets on the 10 year memorial of 9/11 will take on the Dallas Cowboys at home.
I look for the Jets and this huge wave of emotion and anticipation to run them wild over them Cowboys.
Dallas is still figuring their Identity. Romo has had a long layoff, and starting in NY is not the place for him to launch from.
Jets will handle this one at the end and coast to victory covering any spreads.
Jets win 27-17
STEELERS @ RAVENS
This has become a feuding rivalry in the AFC over the last several years, and this year the intensity thickens even more.
Last year Flacco and co. stole one in Pitt. but that was without big Ben in the drivers seat. Now Roethlisberger is back to start the season with a healthy receiving core and an educated defense led by a healthy and financially secure Troy Polomalu .
This should be a battle that will be close at the finish, but i see the Steelers taking this road opener by a field goal.

LIONS @ BUCCANEERS
2 teams quickly on the rise led by young QB's.
The Lions have high hopes after a 4-0 preseason, they just don't want the "Rich Kotite" curse to hit them. The Lions have suffered enough, and have not made the playoffs in 11 seasons, but this year they are serious , and have improved on defense.
Tampa has a hot shot QB that says he's no fluke and will prove it this year.
Freeman will have his chance, and I believe it'll be enough to get them this home victory.
BUCS win 31-27
VIKINGS @ CHARGERS
The SD Chargers have flirted with disaster the last 3 seasons.
In the end they fell short of their goal each time. This year is their time.
Phillip Rivers has gotten a lot of praise and slack by NFL critics over this run, taking very little blame for the teams disappointments. This year it's time for him to lead completely and get his team to the playoffs. He has to have an All Pro year to do it.
The Vikings have gone Randall Cunningham on us plucking another Vet Philly QB. They can only hope Mcnabb brings the results Cunningham brought.
If that were to happen it won't start here in SD for week one.
I like the Chargers in a big way over Minn. Rivers will have big targets in Gates and Jackson to put them over the top.

HUGE FINAL 4 PREDICTIONS
The Final four is here again and as always surprises abound.
No number one seeds remaining.
One Classic game between storied programs UCONN and KENTUCKY.
And then the small school melodrama always representing heart and determination, gets to the final four as VIRGINIA COMMONWEALTH U goes against BUTLER U.
Except Butler was here last year, making VCU the true underdog, Cinderella....what ever you want to call them.
VCU is an unlikely team to be here, playing and winning games this season against the likes of Hofstra, Old Dominion and Drexel. They have quality wins against UCLA & Wake Forrest but bad losses against Georgia state, UAB and their last loss to James Madison U.
Since then the resume gets very Impressive.
USC, Georgetown, Purdue, Florida state, KANSAS!!
So why should Butler stand in their way to the finals?
Butler matches up well in this spot but will make for an excellent competition, but I see the Butler Bulldogs pulling off the Victory behind the experience of Howard, going to the finals this time against.....
KENTUCKY vs CONNECTICUT
I Love this young enthusiastic Kentucky team.
John Calipari has done an amazing job preparing these kids for this position.
Jim Calhoun deserves equal credit rallying his Huskies team that wasn't ranked high in the Big East let alone the Country coming into the tournament, but led by Kemba Walker UCONN has risen to the spotlight and could end up stealing this Championship for Uconn's 3rd NCAA Trophy.
Brandon Knight and Harrelson are carrying a heavy load, but unless they can stop Walker and the shooting display of Jeremy Lamb, Kentucky could be facing another year of youthful disappointment. UCONN Wins!

Sweet 16 night #2 Huge Predictions
The 2011 NCAA Men's Basketball tournament has been full of upsets and surprises.
As Evidence of Duke and Wisconsin going down last night anything can happen tonight!
The one big upset I see for sure is
MARQUETTE over NORTH CAROLINA
Marquette barely made it to the field of 68 after season ending losses to Cinn, and Seton Hall. Then they got blown out by Louisville in the Big East tournament.
Lucky to be here, they have taken advantage of the opportunity and will ride that into the upset over powerhouse North Carolina Tar Heels. Carolina is still young but very dangerous, however this tournament is made of upsets and I'm seeing one here.
KANSAS over RICHMOND
I love this veteran Richmond Spider team, who have managed to find themselves in the Cinderella seat on several occasions. This however will be a tough one going against top ranked Kansas.
This game will be tight and close at times, but Jayhawks too big and powerful for the Spiders to handle.
Kansas wins!
OHIO STATE over KENTUCKY
This will be the closest and most tightly contested game of the night.
Ohio state is balanced at No.1 but Kentucky has been surging down the stretch and are ready for the big upset. However The other Wildcats have struggled going 0-5 against the Buckeyes in their last 5 post season competitions.
Kentucky is well coached and highly skilled, but they're young and will falter down the stretch against the more experienced Ohio state Buckeyes.
FLORIDA STATE over VIRGINIA COMMONWEALTH
Both schools feel lucky to be here. Certainly for VCU who usually don't play such stiff competition. They have been a big surprise so far, but Florida state is used to playing big time programs and that will help when it figures it's way around VCU.
With ACC Defensive player of the year Chris Singleton guarding the paint, Florida st. should cruise in this one.

SUPER BOWL PREDICTION
It's been a fun and Interesting 2010 NFL season.
I've had some Interesting picks to say the least, but it's always done with an unbiased, well thought out and factual bases.
Here's my Super Bowl Prediction for 2010.
PITTSBURGH STEELERS vs GREEN BAY PACKERS
Two classic teams go for different kinds of history on Sunday.
The Steelers win could put them at top as the best all time for a franchise in victories.
for the Packers it can bring them back to the old glory days when Green Bay was known as "Title Town", and rejuvenate a franchise back to Super Bowl stardom for the 1st time since the legend of Favre rolled through town.
However none of these players in Sundays game care too much about history and tradition at this point. That's for the writers and debaters to worry about.
It's all about the here and now, and what they can accomplish as individuals to contribute to a team in goal of a Championship.
Green Bay led by Aaron Rodgers have played themselves into an amazing situation despite having serious problems at points of the season, mostly brought on by Injuries.
This team hung tough and won the games they had to, finishing the regular season at 10-6.
Pittsburgh had to bide their time while Roethlisberger served his early 4 game suspension before getting their season going. He had some growing pains but adjusted well to get himself and the Steelers lined up for their 3rd Super Bowl victory in his short but spectacular career.
His play wasn't great in either one of those games, but he did enough in each to get the victories.
Packers defense has been huge, and their offense blazing, but I just can't see them beating that Steelers defense!?
Pittsburgh is just too tough and their 'D' will find a way to cause havoc, create turnovers forcing the Packers into bad decisions.
The Pittsburgh dynasty should be in tact.
This could be a very tight game, but if the score gets out of hand it could favor Green Bay. If the game is dictated by defense then I think the Steelers will take it home.
Pittsburgh Wins! 31-21.

NFL WILD CARD WEEKEND PREDICTIONS
The NFL Playoffs 2010 have arrived.
The most Important part of that is the New York Jets are involved.
What a difference a year makes, with the Jets having sealed a playoff berth going into their last game with Buffalo, while the Colts had to win to earn a spot and get a home game, which they have done and now will participate in the Hugest game of the year.
JETS vs COLTS Saturday night prime time for all the country to see as the Jets will make up for last years missed opportunity to go to the Super Bowl, by beating the Colts this time in Indianapolis.
I like the balanced Jets attack, and if they stick with that game plan they will wear down the Colts defense, while applying pressure to Manning and our Defense forcing his turnovers. That's what will happen folks. Jets will win and move on.

SAINTS vs SEAHAWKS
The Seattle Seahawks are the wost worst team at 7-9, or the only under .500 record team to win a division and a playoff spot in NFL history. That's the way the formula works, so the better team Saints have to travel to Seattle for their 1st round wild card game.
Even though the Saints backfield is banged up this is the time for Reggie Bush to step up. It's Reggie's time and a time to shine! Bush should have a huge day and Drew Brees alone will not let his team fall to this group of Seahawks, no matter what the record.
Saints have been heading in the right direction and will display that on Saturday.
Seattle mixed up at QB will go with a more reliable but banged up Hasselback, and it won't be enough.

RAVENS vs CHIEFS
Here's my upset city.
I see the Ravens (12-4) going into Kansas City and losing to the Chiefs (10-6)
It's true the Chiefs did not play well down the stretch or in their last game but theirs a matchup situation here that if the Chiefs can jump on early opportunities, they could hold off the inconsistent Ravens offense and pull off the playoff Home victory.
Matt Cassell has developed into a reliable QB over the course of this season, but this will be his biggest test to date. This is his team and his chance to stand on his own and show he's a frontline QB in the NFL and can win a big game. Here's that opportunity, and I think they can do it of the defense to handle Flacco and Ray Rice.

PACKERS vs EAGLES
This is a big challenge for Michael Vick and the Eagles, but I think they're going to do it.
Green Bay has many question marks and many inconsistent parts.
The hostile environment of Philadelphia mixed with the emergence of Michael Vick who's ready to play the biggest game of his career will rise and shine to the top.
Eagles will crush the Packers. Aaron Rogers will have a difficult time getting passes off as the Philly D will be swarming.

Huge NFL PREDICTIONS 12.26.10
The Jets have another huge game this week. Coming off the explosive win over the Steeelrs, NYJ can clinch a playoff spot beating the Bears Sunday in Chicago.
The Bears do have one of the best defenses in the league, but their offense has been suspect at times behind Jay Cutler. Despite the fact Cutler has had a much Improved season and will lead the Bears into the playoffs, he has struggled with opposing pressure defenses.
I think the JETS D will show up big time in this game and frustrate the timing of Cutler forcing him into bad decisions. This will be a tight low scoring contest, but the JETS will emerge in the end after committing fewer mistakes than Chicago.
Sanchez and the offense will be focused and conservative.
It will produce a victory and the 11th win for the Jets.
GIANTS (9-5) over PACKERS (8-6)
NY Giants coming off their most horrific loss in team history will bounce back this weekend, beat the Packers and clinch a playoff spot.
Green Bay has been inefficient on offense without Rodgers. Even with Rodgers lately the team has struggled.
Look for Eli Manning to lead a balanced team on the Pack, with a ground and pound attack, and win this no nonsense game. Gints feel embarrassed and will be not be playing around with this team.
Green Bay defense is tough, but as long as the Giants don't hurt themselves, they'll be in a prime position for victory.
Giants win!
COLTS (8-6) over RAIDERS (7-7)
I'm picking the Colts to win this one but the Raiders will play a hard nosed stingy defensive game that will disrupt the rhythm of Peyton Manning.
It's the Raiders Offense that will fail them. They are Improved but won't have enough to stop the Colts for 60 minutes.

The Saints are the defending Super Bowl Champions, but their defense has not played like that in recent weeks, and the offense has suffered many Injuries this season that makes it difficult to truly evaluate.
The Falcons are the hottest team in the NFL led by 3rd year sensation at QB Matt Ryan.
Balanced with a strong defense Atlanta is set for their greatest regular season finish in franchise history.
The Saints are tuning up the offense behind the dynamic play of Dew Brees, but i don't think it will be enough to handle the Falcons at home in their biggest spotlight game of the season.
With a completely healthy Saints team and loaded with all their top weapons, then maybe it would be a much different looking contest.
Based on what is evident i see the Falcons sealing their deal on Monday on their way deep into the playoffs.

Huge NFL PREDICTIONS 12/17/10
As the NFL regular season winds down the pressure builds for those teams looking to secure their playoff positions. For a team like the JETS, just 2 weeks ago we were looking at possibly the best season in franchise history?
Now Jets are just hoping to hang on and make the playoffs.
Now that's not even looking real good.
Jets go into Pittsburgh to play a very tough Steelers team behind Big Ben and his blue collar backfield in the cold, and under hostile circumstances. NY will have to play a perfect game to come away with a victory.
What we've seen on the field the last 2 weeks rivals some of the worst in team history.
Sanchez must establish some early confidence in the short passing game. Shonn Greene must have a big game.
So with all that said i wish the JETS luck because they'll need it.
COLTS (7-6) over JAGUARS (8-5)
I don't know why I keep sticking with The Colts?
I guess because on paper it always seems as though Peyton Manning is going to bust one loose and win big!
That seems to be the call here against the Jags. Although I am predicting a very tight contest as these teams seem to balance each other out.
Manning will find his receivers, but Jacksonville can pound it better with Jones-Drew while David Garrard moves well and finds open targets.
I just think at home Indy takes it in a shootout.

GIANTS (9-4) over EAGLES (9-4)
This is the biggest battle of the regular season in the NFC East.
Eagles have been dominant at times with Michael Vick in the driver seat.
Giants have also looked spectacular at times led by Eli Manning.
They've also looked horrible.
However right now I think Giants have things balanced on the right track.
The defense is solid off of the dismantling of the Vikings, and the offensive attack despite the injuries at wide receiver, should have the depth to compete well at home.
This will be a very difficult and tightly played Football game, but I see the Giants pounding their way to victory.
Giants win!
SAINTS (10-3) over RAVENS (9-4)
This is a matchup that many think could end up in the Super Bowl.
The defending Champs N.O. Saints come into Baltimore ready to prove their defense of the title going into the playoffs.
Ravens looked vulnerable last week on defense, and Drew Brees will look to exploit that early and often.
If the Saints defense can contain Flacco, then the door will be open for Brees to find his many receivers underneath with ball control.
Despite the home advantage I like The Saints to come in and upset the Ravens at home.
Saints win!

Huge NFL PREDICTIONS
The game of the year awaits the JETS. How fitting it is to face their #1 arch rival New England Patriots and Tom Brady. Both teams come in at 9-2 with the division and possible major playoff Implications at stake. Whatever it is, it will be one incredibly exciting game.
Jets in the spotlight once again on MNF.
You know what folks? Jets have lived up to it. Maybe by the skin of their teeth, but Rex Ryan and The Jets have put their money where their mouth is, and will ride that into Foxboro, and upset the Patriots at home.
JETS will come out and establish it on the defense side, despite the fact they lost defensive captain Jim Leonhard with a broken leg in a freak accident in practice.
Brady will have his moments but look for Sanchez to run an efficient offense and the Jets to come away with the closely contested game.

It's true I've stuck with Peyton Manning because he should be winning a lot of the games they've lost this year. Peyton Manning will NOT be MVP this season.
However he will find a way at home to rally his team for a win against the Cowboys.
Dallas is still bruised in ego but will come with a fight.
Manning will "will" his team to victory!
FACLONS (9-2) over BUCCANEERS (7-4)
Despite the fact that Tampa is having an excellent season and have overachieved so far and truly turned their franchise around behind the emphatic QB Josh Freeman.
They won't be able to beat the Atlanta Falcons who are the real deal.
Matt Ryan has a stellar offense moving with a defense that will bend but has yet to break.
Tampa running the ball with Blount and catching the ball with Mike Williams will not be enough to compete with the pounding of Turner, and the receiving of White and Gonzo that will cap it for the Falcons.
Atlanta wins.
RAVENS over STEELERS!
Roethlisberger is Shaken up and the hungry defense of the Ravens will be a step up on the STEELERS in this one.
I think Flacco is emerging as the leader they sought him out to be.
Pittsburgh Defense has proved vulnerable lately.

I was 3 for 3 on Thanksgiving Day.

FALCONS (8-2) over PACKERS (7-3)
The Green Bay Packers have been on a roll lately. They've accomplished a big hurdle this year knocking off Favre and The Vikings. They've won some other big games, but the buck stops here. They haven't faced a team like Atlanta. The Falcons will be at home and will be ready to handle all that The Packers will bring. Look for the Falcons defense to pressure Rodgers into bad situations. He is prone for the Interception and will likely happen on Sunday.
Look for Matt Ryan to go wild with his receiving core of Roddy White and Tony Gonzalez. Mix in a little ground and pound with Turner and Snelling, and you have a winning team.
Falcons win handily.
GIANTS (6-4) over JAGUARS (6-4)
NY Giants will get back on track and put a damper on the Jags playoff hopes with a big win on Sunday.
Giants have regrouped and will be ready for the offensive prowess of Garrard and Jones-Drew. Giants defense must step up and shut them down, the Offense will take care of itself with Brando Jacobs back at the starter and Mario Manningham stepping up in replace of Nicks.
GMEN at home will win this high scoring contest.
COLTS (6-4) over CHARGERS (5-5)
Peyton Manning and the Colts in a must win situation at home will get it done against the surging Chargers.
This will not be an easy game but look for Manning and CO. to overcome the power of Rivers, Gates and the rest of the San Diego weapons.
I just don't think Chargers Defense can do enough to stop Indy.

TURKEY PICKINGS
A special Thanksgiving Huge Predictions.
The JETS come into Thursday Night's game off one of the most dramatic finishes in recent Jets history.
The Bengals are coming off one of the worst finishes in Cincinnati Bengal History blowing a 28 point lead to The Bills and losing by double digits.
Jets (9-2) have their sights set on the big contest that could determine the AFC east on Monday night Football Dec 6th against what they assume will be an equal 9-2 Patriots team.
JETS look at Bengals game as a home tuneup and plan on annihilating Cincy.
Look for Jets to pound the line and work that weak Bengal secondary.
Jets don't want to be too confident or cocky, but they certainly can smell blood and should be plenty hungry on Thanksgiving eve.

PATRIOTS (8-2) over LIONS (2-8)
The Patriots come into Detroit for the Lions annual Home cooking every year on Thanksgiving. Even with a banged up Brady, the Patriots should be able to handle the Lions.
Detroit once again has been a major disappointment. Just when bright spots emerge, something terrible goes wrong. They've lost some heart breakers, and have had to go without their starter Matthew Stafford, but the rest of the team has fallen short. There's youth and potential that usually rises on this day to be productive.
With that being said I believe the Lions can keep it close and Interesting, but not enough to stop the Patriots who are rolling towards a higher destiny.
Simple exposure should put away the Lions, but this might be a high scoring game.
New England has shown vulnerability in the secondary and could open things up.
In the end Belichek and Brady will find a way.
Patriots win.
SAINTS (7-3) over COWBOYS (3-7)
At the start of the season this game looked on paper like it could have been one of the great games of the year. A funny thing happened on the road to the playoffs.
Saints are actually coming around after some devastating Injuries, while the Cowboys are trying to recover from total breakdown and collapse.
Dallas does feel rejuvenation from their 2-0 start under interim coach Jason Garret, but I don't think they'll have enough to deal with the Super Bowl Champs.
There might be struggles for the Saints as they are still without their weapons in the backfield leaving the receivers vulnerable to attack.
However Drew Brees will work some of his magic and help the Saints pull off the close victory.
Saints win in a close one.

Huge NFL PREDICTIONS 11/21
NYJ are riding high on a little bit of luck and a lot of being part of a good team that's pulling out last minute and OT victories.
The Jets have talked all week about establishing themselves at home.
This is the week to do that facing an upstart TEXANS team that's highlighted some offense but suffers on defense, sporting the worst secondary in the NFL.
Look for Sanchez, holmes and the rest of the JETS to exploit that on their way to 8-2.

PACKERS(6-3) over @VIKINGS (3-6)
I look at this game as another dagger into the burial of Brett Favre and his entire season, and career.
How fitting for his consummate understudy in Green Bay, Aaron Rodgers to come into Favre's new home of Minnesota and beat the pants off of them. That's what I thik will happen.
This is a game of 2 teams going in different directions.
Packers are peaking at the right time and should be able to execute against a weakened Viking attack, who's patented defense hasn't performed well either.
Packers win!
EAGLES (6-3) over giants (6-3)
How many times has Philly changes their gameplan this year?
Right now I think they have the right formula with Michael Vick leading the way.
Flying for 6 TD's last week, Vick comes home to play arch rival GIANTS coming off their low of the season against the Cowboys.
So which Giant team will show up?
Regardless I think Eagles take this game at home. The momentum of this Eagle offense should overpower the Giants D. Game will probably be wide open and high scoring but Philly takes control of the NFC East after this victory.
PATRIOTS (7-2) over COLTS (6-3)
It hasn't been such smooth sailing for Peyton Manning's team so far this season.
Sunday they run into a buzz saw going to NE to face Brady and the Pats.
Should be an awesome matchup, but the defenses have weakened, and should open up big numbers on both sides. However Patriots at home coming off last weeks huge victory should keep pressure on the Jets in their division.
Peyton will continue his offensive surge but his team may fall short in the doldrums of New England.

Huge NFL PREDICTIONS 11/14
NFL has hit the midpoint of the season, and the Jets are considered one of the elite teams in the league.
Last week they squeezed out one of those tight victories that good teams win.
They'll need to rely on more than that this Sunday when they play the Hungry Browns, who recently disposed of the Saints, and The Patriots.
Jets have their work cut out for them, but for many players on the Jets roster,
there is an additional incentive here with Mangini at the helm.
JETS Vets will be looking to make a point and squash the fading of Browns.
RAVENS (6-2) vs FALCONS (6-2)
This Thursday night's matchup turns out to be the best of the week!
2 hot teams very much in control of their situations look to establish full control tonight.
Ravens D is tough and famous. Their offense has been inconsistent, but maturing under 3rd year starter Flacco.
However Atlanta has their own special 3rd year starter and a defense that has begun to flex it's muscles.
I see a tight contest with 2 teams that are well balanced in mirroring each other, but I see Matt Ryan and the home team pulling this one out.
Turner will run effectively enough to open up the passing game for Roddy White, and lead the Falcons to victory.
VIKINGS (3-5) vs BEARS (5-3)
The Vikings go into Chicago off a dramatic come from behind win against a weak Arizona opponent. I don't think they'll have the same luck this week.
Strange also how the Bears have a better record, and are at home but still are underdogs to the Vikes?
Bears will erase that question Sunday with their tight defense.
Cutler just needs to be serviceable, and assuming he doesn't give the game away,
I think Chicago can put enough pressure on Favre to win the game with defense.
Favre will suffer in this environment and the Vikings season will be officially over.
Bears win!
CHIEFS (5-3) vs BRONCOS (2-6)
KC Chiefs are enjoying one of their finest seasons in years, while Broncos are suffering one of their worst.
That pain will continue at home as the Chiefs come into Denver and will roll on the Broncos.
KC lost to a tough Raider team last week, but will use a key running game combined with a steady solid QB in Matt Cassel to be enough to knock off Denver.
Broncos are unbalanced on both sides of the ball, and the Chiefs will take advantage of that.
Denver coaching staff may have lost control and communication with the team.
Proof of this will show up on Sunday.
Sorry Broncos fans, but Chiefs win on the road in a route!
PATRIOTS (6-2) vs STEELERS (6-2)
This is a great Sunday night contest between 2 top teams with "A " list QB's.
Pats are coming off a disastrous road loss to Cleveland while Pitt is coming off an Impressive win in Cincy.
Steelers at home with that defense! And an offense that will pick apart the young but determined Patriots defense.
New England will always have strong production with Tom Brady running the show, but that will only go so far against some of the more creative schemes in the league.
Pittsburgh provides that threat. Roethlisberger is just getting comfortable back in the saddle, and this weeks home game will certainly be his display of fine tuning.

HUGE NFL PREDICTIONS 11/7/10
NYJ suffered a horrible loss last week to the Packers. A game that didn't make logical sense?
Jets will bounce back in a big way against an upstart Lions team that has drawn a lot of offensive attention. However they are not ready to handle a primed team like the JETS in this spot.
Should be an exciting game, but one where the Jets open up the playbook and also disguise some key defensive schemes against Detroit's rookie QB.

FALCONS (5-2) Over Buccaneers (5-2)
Tampa has overachieved so fat this season. They've never started 4-0 on the road in team history, not even their Super bowl Winning year, and I don't think Sunday they'll do it either.
Falcons coming off the bye week are refreshed and ready led by 3rd year seasoned QB Matt Ryan. Combined with top receiver Roddy White, they should give the Bucs defense all it can handle.
Freeman has been great but Atlanta wins on Sunday quite comfortably.
RAVENS (5-2) over Dolphins (4-3)
Baltimore will look to flex their AFC muscles this Sunday against the Dolphins.
Miami has played well showing persistence and dexterity but will run into a wall sunday in Maryland.
Look for a tight low scoring game, but the Ravens defense will get to Henne leaving enough room for Flacco to do his thing lining up the ravens offense hitting Anquan Boldin early and often, and leading the team to victory.
COLTS (5-2) over EAGLES (4-3)
Colts go on the road into hostile Philly and will come out with a victory.
Peyton Manning is finding his groove, and will put that on display against the Eagles.
Philly back n forth with QB's will have a difficult time staying ahead of the Colts strategy.
Eagles will have to be super efficient to stop Manning, and even more clever with their own offense.
Philly's defense has been suspicious. As long as Colts defense doesn't melt down, then it should be cruising time for Peyton and the Colts.

NFL HUGE PREDICTIONS 10/31
JETS come back from the off week ready, healthy and hungry to eat up the Packers.
Green Bay has weaknesses in their offensive line and the Jets will exploit that.
Look for Sanchez to hit Santonio Holmes for a huge day. Also ground and pound with LT and Greene.
In other great action.
COWBOYS (1-5) over JAGUARS (3-4)
Cowboys win because if they don't everyone will be fired.
I think this game will be close. But Dallas on life support pulls this one out.
CHARGERS (2-5) over TITANS (5-2)
Another team on life support and underachieving.
Blow up this coaching staff if Norv Turner has another disappointing season.
I think Chargers are on this one, and will have Rivers fine tuned against a Titan offense that might be a bit out of sync. Does Vince Young get off to a fast start?
Tight game but must win for San Diego and they take it.
PATRIOTS (5-1) over VIKINGS (2-4)
Here's another team that goes wild on the Vikings. The season is really about to tank.
No matter who starts for minn. it's an erratic position on Sunday regardless of Favre's participation.
Tom Brady at home with all that momentum will handle The Vikings in a big way.
49ers (1-5) over BRONCOS (2-5)
49ers deemed as underachieving at this point will make a point to their fans and pull off a win at home against a Bronco team headed in the wrong direction. Denver is not good, and San Fran not as bad as the record.
That will justify the win for the Niners.

World Series Preview
The 2010 MLB World Series gets underway tonight in San Francisco.
The 2 teams that no one thought would get there square off towards becoming Champions.
Texas Rangers making their first trip to the World Series in the teams 50 year history.
San Francisco Giants have not won a Championship since moving from New York in 1958.
So this should be a great matchup of pitchers, as the Giants hope to keep the Rangers bats quiet to make up for their lack of offensive power and presence. It's been enough for the Giants up to this point, but will it be enough to beat Mighty Texas.
The Rangers are primed with the ace in the hole Cliff Lee and the sure fired MVP bat of Hamilton.
I just don't see San Fran holding off this Texas lineup like they did to the Phillies.
They'll keep it close, but with the likes of free swinging Guerrero and solid veteran Michael Young, Texas is ready to unload towards winning it all.
Game #1 has Lee going against Lincecum. Tim will need to be on his A+ game because margin for error will be slim. Should be an incredible pitchers duel.
we'll see who gets outlasted.
For the Series I see TEXAS RANGERS winning it all.
As long as their starting rotation stays steady and doesn't implode, Rangers should prevail.
HUGE SUNDAY NFL PREDICTIONS
JETS on a bye week sitting comfortably at the top of the NFL food chain will rest while other teams battle it out.
REDSKINS (3-3) @ BEARS (4-2)
Washington Redskins come into Chicago with a chance to stay right in the thick of things in the East competing with the Giants and Eagles. Their defense has been one of the worst in the league but will have some relief against one of the worst offenses in the Bears, who's front line is in makeshift mode having given up 27 sacks so far. Skins will look to exploit that defensively, and Donovan Mcnabb will be ready to strategically breakdown the Bears defense.
Should be a tight game, But Jay Cutler is out of sorts, and the Redskins are primed to take this one on the road.
SKINS WIN!
EAGLES (4-2) @ TITANS (4-2)
Tennessee enters this home game with a lot of question marks on their starting QB situation.
Whoever starts for the Titans I believe will lead the team to victory over the Eagles.
Coach Fisher will have his team focused hopefully with a confident and healthy Vince Young leading the way.
Philly should function well offensively but there defense will have a tough time stopping the finesse running of Chris Johnson and new #1 guy at receiver Nate Washington.
Young will rise and Titans will win at home.
VIKINGS (2-3) @ PACKERS (3-3)
This is the biggest and most important game in Green Bay Packers history since the team last went to the Super Bowl with Brett Favre as their leader. Now the hugest game is to beat Favre and his new team, in a game the Packer organization had always hoped to avoid.
Brett wanted to join the Vikings, and now he has them, although maybe not in the position they were hoping for.
The Vikings have struggled despite their win last week over Dallas.
Green Bay has completely underachieved. However look for the Packers to pull out all stops and justify their recent history claims by stomping out Favre once and for all.
Pack will attack.

Sunday's Huge NFL PREDICTIONS
For Sunday the JETS are in position to go into the bye week with a 5-1 record if they can win a huge road game against the Broncos.
With all parts playing correctly, JETS should be successful.
For my Predictions.
PATRIOTS (3-1) over Ravens (4-1)
Giving Bill Belicheck and Tom Brady extra time to prepare for a home game after a bye week is dangerous for any incoming opponent. However the opponent happens to be the very challenging Baltimore Ravens. With that being said I still believe the PATS will get it done.
Brady is definitely playing with a chip on his shoulder this season to prove his acquired rock star lifestyle is backed up with substance.
That will be greatly tested against a stout Ravens D. But NE will be prepared enough for Flacco and company leaving Brady time to maneuver enough towards a win for the Patriots.
Tight game but New England wins.

NFL SUNDAY PREDICTIONS
Every game in the NFL each week seems to have great significance to the big picture and outcome of the season which only makes it more exciting on every level.
Sunday has some key matchups that have me psyched to get the games rolling!
FALCONS (3-1) over Browns (1-3)
Browns coming off their big 1st win of the season against interstate rival Cincinnati Bengals, get another home game against the Atlanta Falcons. Except the result will be a lot different. Browns Defense will have a tough time against the diverse offense of the Falcons led by 3rd year starter Matt Ryan. Combined with the potent running attack of Turner and Snelling and the receiving depth in White and Gonzalez, Cleveland will be confused all day.
With Seneca Wallace leading the way at QB the Browns are in trouble against a Rush defense that's dirty bird like enough to force Wallace to pass and The Browns will be trailing all day long.
Falcons win comfortably.
COLTS (2-2) over Chiefs (3-0)
Kansas City comes into Indianapolis at a very bad time. Colts were stunned last week by the unheralded 59 yard FG made by Josh Scobee to end the game and leave the Colts at 2-2. I guarantee this as a lock win for the Colts. Chiefs have played well but have overachieved to get to 3-0. Peyton Manning and company will be all business as they can't afford anymore mishaps like last week. Look for complete focus and domination by Indy.
KC will try and pound the ground against a suspect run defense of the Colts.
It may take a few snaps for the Colts offense to get on track, but they just are praying the defense doesn't blow it for them.
Colts win Big.
COWBOYS (1-2) over Titans (2-2)
Dallas Comes into this game in the same situation as Indy, which is in desperate need of a win!
The difference is Cowboys had a bye week and time to brew and think about how they can dominate the Titans at home. Cowboys haven't dominated anyone, but should have control of this one as Romo will be as primed and ready as he ever could be to live up to the expectations that so many have for him as the one who will once again lead the Dallas Cowboys to a Super bowl Championship. However Romo has had his blunders amongst brilliant play, so his hope is to cut down on the mental mistakes and lead by way of receivers Austin and Williams.
Titans have struggled as Vince Young will try to stir some magic in his home state. and rely heavily on the carries of Chris Johnson who's gone over 100 yards in 6 straight road games.
Dallas contains him they should hold Tennessee and be able to win the game.
Lose this game and the Cowboys are cooked and hung out to be devoured.
No way Dallas blows this game especially with their success off bye weeks.
Cowboys win
49ERS (0-4) over Eagles
Call it another act of desperation, but the truth is that the 49ers have had trouble finding their way... anywhere this season. No wins and they blew that game against the Falcons last week.
This is definitely the week that San Fran gets straightened out.
Look for Alex Smith to be on target and for Gore to pound the rock to victory over an Eagles team that is without their dynamic star M Vick , and a shotty defense that's been exposing their weaknesses all over the league.
Kevin Kolb will get his start at QB and will hope to execute just like in camp!
Niners win and get the huge monkey off their back.
Week 4 NFL PREDICTIONS
Week 4 in the NFL brings some great Matchups.
Obviously I don't give you JETS predictions because I'm a fan and always think they will win.
So here are my top picks for Sunday.
BENGALS (2-1) over Browns (0-3).
Browns have played games close despite being 0-3.
Bengals are 2-1 and are just starting to come into their own, but are peaking with a balanced attack that should be too much for the Browns to handle.
Carson Palmer, Benson and the star studded wide receiver core are beginning to gel for Cincy.
This is a conservative offense that should pound it in on Cleveland.
The Defense is what Makes this team, and Coach Lewis has his D aligned properly after their 1st week debauchery against The Patriots.
Browns should keep it tight in this low scoring affair, but Bengals grind it out for the win.
SEAHAWKS (2-1) over Rams (1-2)
Seattle is off to a fresh start this season led by their new Head Coach Pete Carroll and his return to the NFL. Seahawks resurgence has come from the steady QB play of Matt Hasselbeck.
As a team Seattle is not as good as they might appear, but right now it's enough to beat the Rams on the road.
St. Louis looks good with Sam Bradford as their young leader, but the inconsistency and lack of flow on offense has this team not quite ready for prime time.
Bradford has had injury issues as well as star RB Steven Jackson, who's groin injury has slowed him and could greatly affect the outcome of the game based on if he plays or not.
Regardless I think Seattle has enough behind the Running of Justin Forsett, and the receiving of TE John Carlson and WR Mike Williams. Seahawk Defense has been effective especially against the run.
Rams future looks bright, but not this Sunday.
Seahawks win!
SAINTS (2-1) over Panthers (0-3)
Panthers are far removed from the successful years behind Jake Delomme.
Saints are really nowhere near their Super Bowl winning form from last season.
However Saints are fuming over their loss last week to Atlanta.
Despite the fact they have no running game due to the injuries to starters Bush and Thomas, it won't matter.
Drew Brees and the Saints passing attack with be enough to put away the 28th ranked passing defense that Carolina is producing.
Saints Defense should come alive and squash out early any hope for a Panther win.
Look for receivers Colston and Moore to handle the Carolina secondary, while the running game will be serviceable with Ladell Betts and practice squad RB Deshawn Winn.
This is a lock game. SAINTS win!
EAGLES (2-1) over Redskins (1-2)
The return of Donovan Mcnabb to Philadelphia as the starting QB for the Redskins will live up to all the hype.
This should be a bigtime game where both QB's Mcnabb and Vick should play exceptionally well.
Along with the presence of new head Coach Mike Shanahan, the Redskins have played tough, but have let poor late game decisions cost them.
Skins will be alright, but the hostile environment that will take place in Philly will be too much for Washington to handle at this time. Michael Vick has been amazing and on a mission to prove himself consistently. Sunday will be another shot at showing his poise and maturity on the field.
We should see some scoring in this one as the Philly Secondary could have problems, but the offensive attack behind RB McCoy, receivers Macklin and Desean Jackson will foil Donovan's fantasy return.
Should be a great game but EAGLES win!

BIG SUNDAY PREDICTIONS
Week 3 in the NFL will dictate a lot for certain teams that had high aspirations for playoff contention. Mainly Dallas and Minnesota.
However I see some road Dogs looking for victory this weekend.
BENGAL over Panthers
The Cincinnati Bengals Come into this game with the Panthers off a tremendous high beating the Ravens last week. Panthers (0-2) are possibly facing one of their worst runs in team history. Things don't look solid in Coach Fox's world, and he seems at times dazed and confused.
Look for Carson Palmer to get his groove on and put up some good numbers on a stingy Panther Defense. But the Carolina Offense is lost and will have a tough time operating against a physically dominant Bengals team.
Cincy wins!
TEXANS over Cowboys
The battle of Texas is on, and it couldn't have come at a worse time for the Cowboys.
Dallas hosting the Super Bowl this year had great aspirations of being one of the teams earning the right to be there. After Sundays game that answer can come quickly if Dallas doesn't figure out a way to stop the rising of the new hot Texas team and that being the Texans!
Houston was very lucky to pull out a victory last week against Washington after being down 27-10 in the 2nd half, they came back and won in OT. Inspired by there leader Matt Schaub is putting up big numbers on offense using all his potent weapons.
Romo and the Cowboys seem to be in constant dissaray.
Can they get it together on the road for the huge interstate upset?
I don't think Romo can avoid the blunders. It will be a tough game but Texans are determined to protect their home field with a huge home win.
REDSKINS over the Rams
This is where having Mike Shanahan as coach will definitely benefit the Redskins in games like this. Having Donovan Mcnabb at QB isn't a bad idea either.
With that combination being said it should be enough to overcome the young new Rams team led by Sam Bradford.
This Rams team is just starting to figure it out. If they get good productivity from Stephen Jackson running the ball it should open things up for Bradford to operate.
Skins though are gritty, and will grind it out with their own pounding running attack behind Clinton Portis to beat St. Louis on the road.

BRONCOS over Colts
Denver gears up for the huge upset over the Colts. Indy is riding high off their blowout of the Giants, and now come into an ambush in Colorado.
Colts will have a difficult time maneuvering in this atmosphere. The defense will be all over Manning making it challenging for his offense to get flowing.
Orton and the opportunistic Bronco Offense will find it's way to the victory.

Here are my top picks for NFL week #2.
RAVENS over Bengals
There's a reason why the bookies have the The Ravens favored in Cincy for this game,
and those reasons are what bit the Jets last Monday night and should do the same to the Bengals Sunday.
Despite the fact that Ray Lewis is out, this Baltimore Defense is going to rattle and hum every team they play this season.
I see a low scoring affair with The Ravens pulling away late.
Bengals offense is not in sync yet, and going against the Ravens D is no way to get things on track.
Baltimore Wins!
COWBOYS over Bears
Expect Dallas to come out in their home opener hungry and on fire to erase the dismal performance they displayed in Washington last week.
Bears Defense is Improved and will cause Romo problems at times, But Bears offense is lost...again with Cutler at the helm. I don't trust him on the road in big D where the fans and opponent with be all over him. Look for turnovers leading to good field position for Dallas while countering with a balanced running and passing game to keep the Bears honest. This should be a big 2 TD win for the Cowboys.
EAGLES over Lions
Despite Improvements by the Lions in the off season, The Eagles come in with Michael Vick starting at QB in a position to really flourish on the wide open field in Detroit.
Lions lost their franchise QB Stafford to injury, and that will cost them in this game.
Eagles Defense is not what it used to be, but it should be able to handle what Detroit puts out.
Look for a high scoring game with Philly winning comfortably.

NFL 2010 is here!!
We're all excited to get it on in Pro Football this season.
The NFL understands very well how to buy into the hype and milk it for everything it's worth. Hence the now traditional key opening night matchup between the Super Bowl Champs and their opponent in the NFC Championship game, the Minnesota Vikings with Bret Favre at QB.
This game is usually tricky as we've seen previous Super Bowl Champs struggle in this spot, but I think the Saint are definitely the more prepared team in this situation.
I like New Orleans to win this huge home opener against the Vikings in a big way!
Favre will struggle as the layoff with slow down this Viking offense.
I see Brees being sharp, and focused to get the job done.
Maybe this is the way Favre really needs to go out?
Either truly as Super Bowl Champ , or to fall on his face and really struggle and go out definitively?
We'll see about all that, but tonight I like the SAINTS to march in at home and take the game #1 victory.

BASEBALL action is heating up in the West.
GIANTS over Dbacks
San Fran prime pitching staff taking shape. As long as they can hit this team will compete. Despite the fact Giants need another bat they should be able to handle Lopez (5-8) and the Dbacks lineup with Matt Cain (7-8) going tonight.
MARINERS over Red Sox
Boston is in a declining mode. Despite that they're still right there in the race, the signs are not there for a fluid 2nd half. Lackey has pitched better of late and Rowland Smith(1-9) is having a horrible year so far. But i still think Seattle pulls off the home upset. This game should produce some runs but the Mariners bats will be ready.
ANGELS over Rangers
I like this big dog tonight as well. True Jered weaver has lost his last 6 starts in Texas, and the Cliff Lee is 6-3 lifetime against the Angels. I still see the Angels winning.
LAA have been hot lately and should display that tonight in Texas against LEE while WEAVER settles his Texas Demons.

Friday Night Baseball leading up to the All Star Break should tell a lot for the teams trying to line themselves up for a big 2nd half.

St. Louis has escaped the treacherous conditions of Coors field and can now get back to work 3 games out now in the Central behind the Reds. Wainwright goes for the Cards and Norris(2-5) for the Stros.
I say Cardinals get this part of their road show together. No way Pujols will give same results. St. Louis wins big.

Padres coming in to Colorado as one of the most consistent teams in the NL so far this season. The Rockies are just hot and on fire at home after smoking the Cardinals in a sweep. I look for the Rockies to continue that despite the fact that Jorge de la Rosa will make his 1st start in 2 months coming off the DL.
Rockies power there way past Correia and the Padres.

Both Red Sox and Rays are banged up, but Boston has been hot and Tampa has not.
However Rays are 5-0 this year at Fenway, and they're the only team to beat John Lackey at home. I say something breaks and Red Sox muster up whatever offense they can without Pedroia and Martinez. Lackey will pitch a huge game as Shields won't be as lucky for the Rays.

CUBS over Pirates
What is there really good to say about the Cubs this season? They're awful and the chemistry is off, the whole Zambrano fiasco and Lou Pinella really seems out of place and out of touch.
However the season goes on, and there are pitchers who want to get a win tonight.
Ted Lilly (2-6) has had some bad luck pitching so far this season, but he does have a low ERA of 3.28 but can't seem to get runs behind him. The Pirates with Kartens tonight (4-4) are one of the worst in baseball but obviously can surprise you with a big win like they pulled off last night.
I say Lilly brings it to the field and washes away his troubles against the pirates.

RANGERS over Angels
LAA Angels have gotten good mileage out joel Piniero so far this season with his 7-6 record, but Texas comes in hot with Feldman 5-6 ready to talk this road game. He's 4-1 over his last 5 starts against Angels. Also Pedro Guerrero comes back to Anaheim to scorch his old team, as well as Josh Hamilton who has a 21 game hitting streak going.

BASEBALL PREDICTIONS FOR MONDAY
Monday night Baseball action has some huge games on tap as teams return to their respective leagues.
PHILLIES over Reds
The phillies have caught fire with their offense lately.
They go up against a reds team tonight with a hot pitcher in Cueto (7-2)
but I think he'll slip up and Philly's bats will get the jump on him while Kendrick will prevail after getting off to a great start at 4-2.
Philadelphia wins.
WHITE SOX over Royals
The Chicago White Sox go on the road to play the Royals and should come away with the victory for Mark Buehrle . Royals coming off a weekend series win and the hot hitting of Jose Guillen but will face a hotter Sox team that's looking to get back again to where they were winning 11 in a row, before the Cubs clipped them from that streak.
Young Royals pitcher Larew doesn't stand much of a chance.

GIANTS over Dodgers
San Francisco and The Dodgers are battling it out in a tough division race.
Zito goes up against Billingsley. Both are coming off bad losses. Billingsley though is coming off the DL and that usually spells trouble. Barry Zito is 5-1 at home this season, and should find comfort in that tonight as he and the Giants handle the Dodgers.
LA coming off a devastating loss to the Yankees Last night will probably keep them stunned throughout this one.

The final game of the season.
This is what it's all about folks. this is it game 7.
Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics. The rematch of 2 years ago, as both teams have won the last 2 NBA Titles. The one who takes this game will be known as the dominant team for this era, because this could be the last run for these Celtic greats.
I think it's going to be a very close contest. The best game the Celtics played in this series was game 5 in Boston because all 3 big stars for the Celtics played well cohesively. every other game one of them has fallen off somewhere along the lines.
If those 3, Garnett, Pierce and Allen play well together, then i think Boston has a very good chance of winning.... but it's hard to bet against the Lakers at home.
Kobe controls things so well in this environment, and he will find that role player to hit the big open shot off his double team. Even though the Celtics will hang tough,
I believe Kobe will rise up and be able to win one game for his 5th NBA Crown.

NBA FINALS GAME 6 PREDICTION
Game 6 of the NBA Finals, and The Lakers are at home in a position I don't think they expected, especially after winning game #1 of the series.
They're trailing the Boston Celtics 3-2 and have to finish things off dramatically if thy're going to win back to back titles.
And you know what....I think LAKERS take game 6!
Look for Kobe and company to come out storming in this one and probably pull away from Boston late. The LAKERS will look to establish Bynum and Gasol early in the contest, and Boston will be a step behind. They must overcome LA Staples center mystique quickly.
If the CELTICS are going to win the Championship, they'll have to do it in game #7.

NBA Finals game 5. The ever crucial pivotal game between the CELTICS and LAKERS.
Celtics are really in another desperate to win game. They Know they are going back to LA,
But they want to go back with 1 game to win not two.
The only way to assure that is win Sunday on their absolute final home game of the year.
I think they will do it. The Celtics have show that one of many different players can be the X factor and win it for them. Robinson, Davis, Rondo and hopefully together with Pierce, Garnet and Allen can put Boston in the driver seat heading out West. If they can get close to that type of achievment they should beat the Lakers. Bynum is hurt which really cuts into the front court depth of LA.
Kobe is the only one that can pull out of this kind of Adversity.
So outside of Kobe going off and controlling every aspect of the game, I say CELTICS take game 5 in a drama filled battle.

Tonight really is a must win situation for them if they have any plans of winning the finals.
Celtics have lacked cohesion amongst their top tier players. Tonight that group will pull it together...including Ray Allen.
Kobe is Kobe, but the role players on the Lakers will struggle tonight.

The series moves to Boston for 3 games where the Celtics could put a real tight clamp on the Lakers while on their home court. This game is crucial for both teams.
Being that the Celtics were able to steal game 2 even with Garnett and Pierce shooting way off showed me that they can win against the best with other guys.
So I Imagine those guys will play better, and that the Lakers might have a tough time adjusting, and lose the game. Lakers will need everyone to be highly focused but still i believe Celtics will take it at home. Garnett will roar like the leading Lion he is, and Pierce can't shoot much worse than he did in LA, so he should be ok.

The Boston Celtics are looking to bounce back after a frustrating game 1 against Lakers at Staples Center. Boston got beat in key spots where their weaknesses were exposed.
although I think Boston will play better and give a greater combative effort, by the time they figure it out they'll be down 2-0 to the Lakers heading back to Boston.
Kobe and Co. will be determined to take care of all home court business before going east for the potential 3 games. Look for Ron Artest to continue his recent surge, causing attention on the Celtics and freeing up another laker to stick one in a big spot.
Boston needs to establish Kevin Garnett as a post up presence, and Paul Pierce needs to settle down and choose wisely on his 3 pt shooting selection.

The Philadelphia Flyers are onto something... and why not?
Isn't that how they've played all 2nd half of the season and till the end battling the Rangers, or like knocking off The Boston Bruins, or Montreal Canadiens. As long as Leighton can stand tall in goal, the scrappy goal scoring lines of Philly such as gagne, Briere, Richardson and Pronger, should stir up like a wild force as they come steamrolling back to lead the series. Could happen?

They dug deep the other night winning game 3 with great determination.
However I think Chicago exercises all their options tonight and overpowers the Flyers.
Leighton has been amazing but may have run out of steam to go all the way.
Niemi needs to hold the fort down in goal for Chicago, and Patrick Kane, Byfuglien and Hossa need to ignite the offense. I see the Blackhawks controlling the tempo, getting an early lead and not relinquishing it.

NBA CHAMPIONSHIP PREDICTION
The 09-10 NBA Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics is a classic matchup but even more of a rematch of the Finals 2 years ago when the Celtics won in 6 games. In fact the last time the Lakers met the Celtics in a playoff game it was the most lopsided victory in NBA Finals history losing by 36 points in boston.
Lakers are now a much deeper team, certainly a more confident one after winning the Finals last year. And the argument for the Celtics missing the rematch party last year was because Kevin Garnett was out injured. So Boston faithful would say, as the stats remain this current Celtic starting 5 has not lost a playoff series together.
They will do their best to make someone else beat them while trying to double out Kobe.
Celtics stare down with 3 sure fire Hall of Famers in Garnett, Pierce and Allen, while the Lakers have Kobe....But who else is going to step up for LA?
Rondo's game has grown tremendously over the last 2 seasons, but Lakers like Walton, and Sasha have digressed since then.
Even more, who besides Kobe on that team is a future hall of fame candidate ?
So I'm looking for a very Physical battle between East and West.
This should be a game where Artest can flourish with high contact play.
I just don't know if the rest of the Lakers are up for it?
I'm picking the Celtics in an upset winning in 6 games.
Boston has way too many weapons compared to LA in their front line.
The big question will be in the success of the Celtic bench. They'll need Little Nate To spark the offense when needed.
Kobe will get his points always, but Gasol, Fisher and Artest will be left to take the big shots down the stretch if the double comes, and I think the Celtics will then have the Answers to claim victory.

Stanley Cup Game 2
NHL
Tonight's game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals where the Chicago Blackhawks look to go up 2-0 on the Philadelphia Flyers. And I think they'll do it. They're at home in Chicago with all the momentum after game one's 6-5 wild shootout victory, and I don't think the Flyers can keep up with that kind of scoring pace again, and questions will remain about the state of the philly goaltending after Leighton was pulled after giving up 5 goals.
Niemi gave up 5 goals as well, however the Chicago offense is so confident that they always seemed to be 1 step ahead of the Flyers, which concluded with that result.
Flyers are tough, and Briere, Gagne and Pronger will play well, but will go home for game 3 down 2-0 to the Blackhawks.

CELTICS over Magic
The Boston Celtics will rap things up tonight at home in the Eastern Conference Finals against Orlando. The Magic have worked hard to cut the lead and win the last two, but that's it. There's no way the Hall of fame Lineup of the Celtics will lose tonight in this spot to the Magic. Look for Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen to be sharp and focused to do their parts and lead Boston to victory. It will be a close game but the magic will not be able to handle the extreme pressure on the road down the stretch.
CELTICS Win and move on to the NBA Finals.

SUNS over Lakers
Phoenix takes this very close tight series back home for game 6 where they will put on their show and win. Lakers will be happy to go home for game #7.
I don't think this game will be that close late... Nash Knows this is it...that this could be their last home game of the season, and for this squad for that matter. Certainly these parts will not all be here next year. So I look for a burning SUNS team to take down Kobe and the Lakers show.

I think they'll do it. The Celtics will be in a battle with Orlando tonight, but look for Garnett, Rondo, Allen and Pierce to make the moves setting them up with the victory and a stranglehold 3-0 lead on the Magic. Although I do believe the Magic could win one of these games, I don't believe it will be tonight.

FLYERS can taste a shot at the Stanley Cup, but they go into the Halls of Montreal allure tonight, and will have a tough time getting out.
Halak must come up big for the Canadiens and play a low scoring close to the vest style game. I think Philly will win this series but today the Canadiens win show signs of life with the victory.

I saw enough in game 1 to know that Kobe and the Lakers should pull out the victory tonight and take a commanding 2-0 lead on Phoenix.
The Suns will come out strong with Nash and Richardson shooting better, but down the stretch Kobe will flex his muscles when necessary to win it for LA.

BIG MONDAY NBA
This is the Series to watch. LAKERS vs SUNS.
I think this is the best opportunity for the Suns to advance in years.
Lakers are defending world Champs, but Phoenix has 2 time MVP Steve Nash on a mission.
I know it's a long shot but I'm picking the SUNS to win this series in 6 games.
The focus of the supporting players is a huge factor. Suns must hold Lakers to under 50% shooting, so they can get out into their running game and stay a step ahead of the slower Lakers.
If LA is hitting their shots, and get the ball in Kobe's hands down the stretch in the half court, then Mr. Bryant will have the advantage, and then Phoenix could be in trouble.
I think it will be a fun series to watch.

As much as I feel San Jose is more loaded with offensive talent than Chicago, I see the Blackhawks winning this series in 6 games. The Experience of Chicago being here last year, and San Jose finally in a position to live up to a great regular season, will define a great matchup. but I see Chicago stealing game 1.
CANADIENS vs FLYERS
2 Cinderella teams go after eachother. It's funny ever calling these two teams that.
The Candiens should get the respect just for the history, and The Flyers still looking for that non 'broad street bullies" Stanley Cup Championship.
I see this series going 7 games but with Philly pulling it out at home. Halak is hot and the goaltending should be tight, as well as the scoring which I see as being on the low side.
Flyers win game #1 and take it to the Final in 7.

ORLANDO vs BOSTON
I think Orlando wins this series in 6 games. They are like a younger version of the Celtics, with a less efficient Offensive Dwight Howard compared to Garnett, but certainly a better defender being younger and very active.
Magic are rested and focused and Boston will have a difficult time keeping pace.

The flyers have been incredible this playoff season upsetting NJ Devils in round 1, and now coming back down 0-3 to Boston, Philly is looking to do the improbable.

Big Time Prediction Game
Tonight's Basketball game between the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers is the biggest game in Cavalier history to date. If the CAVS don't win, Not only would they lose the series and the chance to advance in the playoffs after having the best overall record during the regular season, but there's a great chance they might lose their super star leader Lebron James.
Could tonight be the last time Lebron where's a CAVS uniform?
This is a very difficult game to call.

I'm taking the Celtics because people have really underestimated Boston in this series.
They have 3 hall of fame players on their roster, Cleveland has 2, but one is past his prime.
I think Boston at home will have the focus spread throughout their big players and manage a victory at home against a team that has no other significant player stepping up and making it happen. lebron will give it all he has, but the experience of the Celtics should keep this game close till the end, but finishing with Boston advancing, and Cleveland's future in doubt.

As much as I want to see the Cavs lose this series, I think tonight they come out and ride the shoulders of Lebron to a home victory over the Celtics. This next game is the biggest in recent Cavalier history, and I'm sure it's all hanging out on the line for everyone.
Boston has proved however that they can and probably will extend this series to the Max.

The Chicago Bulls claimed the last playoff spot in the east, but not really sure if they earned it? Actually they did play hard to get here, but have been way to inconsistent of late to be able and deal with a starving Cavs team that has been coasting the last few weeks waiting to the 2nd season underway. There's no way Bulls can stand in the way of the King.
Cleveland wins series 4-1
MAGIC over BOBCATS
The Orlando Magic want to get back to the Finals. The Charlotte Bobcats are happy to be in the playoffs. However they don't want to stop here...and I know Larry Brown is planning his upset strategy with the combo of G Wallace and S Jackson.
This is going to be a difficult series for Orlando to win... but I think they'll do it but it could go the distance.

HAWKS over BUCKS
The Milwaukee Bucks have had a stellar season, and have completely overachieved.
But without the likes of Andrew Bogut out with an injury, the Bucks will be limited in their upper strength. This is though the best match up for the Bucks.
Atlanta is a guard and perimeter style team, so I expect Milwaukee to compete and continue to Impress. Brando jennings has been sensational as a rookie, but the stage is big, and I believe The Hawks are more primed and ready to take this series.

CELTICS over HEAT
This will not be an easy series for The Celtics. They have not looked ready recently to compete for the big time spots in the eastern conference. Miami will bring everything they have plus a bit extra I'm sure from Mr. Wade.

LAKERS over THUNDER
The Oklahoma City Thunder has been one of the surprise teams of the league this year with the emergence of Kevin Durant. the kid is amazing and sleek about his play, reminds me of George Gervin, but Kevin's bigger and more powerful.
The Lakers have been sleepwalking down the stretch, and seem in trouble entering the playoffs? I still think they'll beat the Thunder, but they better muster up the energy fast, and Ron Artest needs to play like the dog player he's been throughout his career.

MAVERICKS over SPURS
Some older Vets going in this game on both sides. Dallas though is more on the path of destiny vs the Spurs who have won their championships. Now The Mans feel it's their time. And I agree. this will be a tight series, but Dallas will push their way to the next round.

Without Brandon Roy the Blazers don't have a chance against this timely Phoenix team.
The Suns have peaked at the right time, and when you have Steve Nash leading you, then you feel pretty good about your position.

Here's my only upset in the 1st round. This is going to be such as competitive series, that should wear down both teams. however i think too many distractions in Denver right now centered around the coach being absent. Plus the Jazz are a very smart team, and they are fully loaded.

The Washington Capitals have shattered their own personal history books this season.
Pressure will be on for them to advance far into the playoffs. I don't think they should have a difficult time handling montreal, and all that tradition in the 1st round.
Look for Ovechkin and Co. to make their mark.

The New Jersey Devils still have a few pieces remaining to their Stanley Cup glory days.
I don't think it's enough for them to advance all the way this year. However Brodeur the future hall of fame goalie will lead the Devils past the Flyers in the 1st round.

Here's where I like my 1st upset. The Bruins fought hard just to get into the playoffs, and then found themselves in the 6th spot. they'll ride that end of the season hot streak into Buffalo who've gone .500 there last 10 games.

Ottowa has done well to turn things around this year for their franchise, however the championship experience and leadership of Sidney Crosby will be enough for Pittsburgh to handle The Senators.

Sharks on a mission to erase last years top ranking and 1st round playoff exit.
Colorado looks shakey in the 8th spot.

The Chicago Blackhawks have had a solidly consistent regular season, following last years strong run in the playoffs. Nashville was one of the real surprise teams in the NHL this year, and will give the Hawks a run for their money, but I still like Chicago to win it.

KINGS over CANUCKS
Neither the LA Kings nor the Vancouver Canucks are coming into the playoffs at their best. I want to go with the momentum of there last meeting when the Kings pummeled the canucks at home 8-3. I think this was a good matchup for the Kings, and their gritty forechecking style plus top notch shutdown defense is going to bother Vancouver and force them into difficult scenarios on the ice.
I like the Kings in an Upset to win the series 4-3.
RED WINGS over COYOTES
The Coyotes have the home Ice advantage in this series but are not the favorites to win.
Detroit has peaked at the right time winning 8 of their last 10 games. They will carry that into this series with Phoenix who have scrapped their way, and surprised the league with their best record and effort in team history. Unfortunately for them they have to face the tradition and veteran leadership displayed by the Red Wings, and it just might be a bit overwhelming.

This last game is crucial for Nashville and their post position.

HAWKS over RAPTORS
With Chris Bosh in the lineup the Toronto Raptors had a solid chance of securing the 8th playoff spot in the East, but without him they really have no chance....even if they do get lucky, and back their way into the playoffs.
I look for Atlanta to Squash any of that hope the Raptors have and win handily at home.
SUNS over THUNDER
The Phoenix Suns have been extremely hot lately winning 11 of their last 12 games.
However the toughest opponents to finish out the string await them in Oklahoma City tonight, then Denver and Utah next week. These are gut check games that will really give them a better picture of where they're at. Same could be said for the Thunder, but like Nash and Company to carry onto victory on the road tonight in Okla. City.
MAVERICKS over BLAZERS
Mavs to pull off the west coast upset.
SPURS over GRIZZLIES
Spurs are a focused veteran group, and will display that in a win tonight at home.
NHL
RANGERS over FLYERS
NYR can secure a playoff spot by sweeping the Flyers this weekend in the last 2 games of the regular season. Rangers will win tonight at MSG, but then heart break should set in as they lose the 2nd game and just fall short of making the playoffs.
BLACKHAWKS over AVALANCHE
The Colorado AV's have worked hard to secure the final playoff spot in the west, but surging front runner Chicago Blackhawks are the better team, and will look to tune up their play tonight beating the AV'S at home.

Huge showdown between exciting teams of the west. This is where the Lakers must show their dominance. This may be their biggest road game of the regular season?
I like Kobe and the Lakers to win, an MELO things out tonight in Denver.
CAVS over BULLS
Bulls are trying desperately to get into the playoffs so they could have the thrill of playing the Cavaliers in the 1st round of the playoffs.
However King James won't have it. In Chicago I like Cleveland to win handily.
NHL
KINGS over COYOTES
Big time game in the history of the LA Kings tonight at Staples Center.
The surprising Phoenix Coyotes, who have shocked the hockey world amongst early season front office turmoil, into the franchises best season in team history with 104 points so far. The Kings can do themselves a world of good with a win tomorrow that would put them momentarily ahead of Detroit and Nashville in the jockeying of playoff positions. LA would then have 99 points and fall into the 5th spot in the high scoring western conference.
I like the KINGS to do it!
It'll be a tough game, but Phoenix played last night, and will enter into a focused Environment surrounded by Kings players and fans.
LA wins it in a close one.

We had a lot of fun coverage on the NCAA Basketball tournament.
Now that's over with, we can get back to The NBA & NHL as they wind down the regular season's this week, and teams prepare for the playoffs.
NBA
Bulls Over Bucks
The Milwaukee Bucks have been one of the big surprise hits of this season. They are on the verge of making the playoffs for the 1st time in 4 years, but they'll have to now do it without the biggest contributor of that surprise Andrew Bogut, as he went down with a serious dislocated elbow situation. This opens up a gaping hole in the middle for the Bucks.
Rookie Brandon Jennings has been amazing, but mainly combined in a one two punch with Bogut. So now it's gut check time for the Bucks but I think The Bulls will be too much at home tonight. Chicago is healthy and fighting for the last playoff spot in the East. Look for Rose and Noah to lead the charge.
Bulls to win by single digits at home.
Grizzles over Rockets
The Memphis Grizzlies are hungry for their 1st winning season in 5 years, and want to finish strong despite missing the playoffs in a rough west.
the Rockets are out of it as well...and have played like it lately.
Look for the inspiration to come at home for the Grizzlies despite losing 4 of their last 5 games. Out with a Bang for Memphis.

KINGS over DUCKS
If ever there were a big payback game with your local rival, this is it!
Kings look to get back at Anaheim tonight and should do it powerfully.
I like the KINGS to win tonight big time!
SABRES over RANGERS
The rangers strong bid to make the postseason might get derailed tonight on the road in upstate NY.
Look for Buffalo to take it.
CANUCKS over AV'S
Colorado's bid to get into the playoffs will be greatly affected after losing a key player in Mueller. Vancouver tough at home will look to tighten up for the playoffs!

NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
The Butler did it, The Butler did it!!
As I had said before it should not be a big surprise that Butler University is playing for the National Championship tonight against Duke. Even though I didn't think they would do it.
Their record of 25 straight wins, plus a top ten ranking most of the season, this polished uninhibited group is ready to face their greatest challenge in school history.
They need to best the monster Duke, who will be vying for their 4th National title.
Duke disposed of West Virginia with strong inside/outside Play.
Butler played it down to the wire with Michigan state, but was able to prevail.
Now the big game ..... Can Butler led By Sophmore sensation Gordon Hayward, cap off this amazing storybook season, and beat the Legendary coach K, for their 1st ever Championship?
It will be a monumental task, and they might have to do it without their starting center Matt Howard, due to a serious concussion.
I think they will give Duke a tight game early, but the recently found success of Duke's big presence in the middle with Zoubeck, opens up lanes and causes matchup problems for Butler, that will open the floor for Duke the way it did against West Virginia, and should be enough for Duke to get Title #4.
I like DUKE to WIN the 2009-10 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship.

This weekend saw the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament get down to the final four.
A lot of incredible surprises along the way. Here's what we are left with.
DUKE, WEST VIRGINIA, MICHIGAN STATE &......BUTLER?
Yes Bulter, the darlings of the mid major schools throughout the country get to go to the show that very few small schools ever get to attend, and This team is deep.
Here's how I see it playing out.
DUKE over WEST VIRGINIA.
W. Virginia has overcome major adversities with injuries to get to this point.
However they've done the job, winning their Big East Tourney against a strong Georgetown team, and have done what's been necessary to get here to the final four.
Duke though has the right chemistry and balance of experience and size that will be too much for Huggin's team to handle.
I like Duke in a close game.
Michigan State over Butler
Who could have predicted Butler to go so far winning 24 in a row?
They do it with calculated strategy and smarts. This team is disciplined and makes few mistakes. Michigan state appearing in back to back final four's look to advance to win it this year, despite their leader Lucas having gone down with an injury.
This will be a very close game back and forth, but look for the amazing Izzo to figure out how to breakdown their opponent in crunch time.

Wild Dogs Invade NCAA Tournament
It's been one of the greatest upset weekends I could ever recall in tournament history.
Wild finishes and high energy emotional play is what wins these games.
Often heart and determination in this situation can beat talent.

Kansas state over BYU
Brigham Young has a great team led by sharpshooter Jimmy Fredette, who skinned some Gators in the 1st round with 37pts.
However this is a special Kansas St. team. They are stronger up front, and deeper across.
they want another crack at their nemesis Kansas U.
They need to take care of BYU first to get that opportunity.
K.State in a close one.
New Mexico over Washington
Steve Alford, the former Indiana pure boy, brings his low key Lobos into a game against Pac 10 hopeful Washington.
Despite the wrist injury, I like Darington Hobson to lead New Mexico to victory.
Sunday
Syracuse over Gonzaga
The Zags pulled off a big win over Fla. St. but with have difficulty beating Syracuse.
The Orangemen are too big and strong up front.
Syracuse to win.
Xavier over Pittsburgh
Big east continues to go down. Xavier will roll off the boards in this one.
Texas A&M over Purdue
Ohio state over Georgia Tech

Heat over Warriors
Tonight I like the Miami Heat to win over the Oakland Warriors in a big way.
Golden state has been devastated by injuries this season, and that will certainly plague them tonight in Miami.
Dwayne Wade and the Heat have been struggling lately, but will look to take it out on the Warriors tonight. Miami has beaten GS 3 in a row, and Wade has put up big numbers in all of them.
With Monta Ellis, and Cory Magette sidelined, all the pressure will be on young rookie sensation Stephon Curry....who has a nice offensive game, but probably couldn't stop me 1 on 1 going to the basket.
Look for Wade and the Heat to dispose of them early on tonight.
College Bball
Villanova over Cincinnati
The Villanova wildcats currently ranked 9th in the nation look to get things straight tonight against unranked Cinn. Bearcats.
Nova just came off a big road loss to #1 Syracuse, and have slipped recently from elite status. That should change tonight at home, as the Wildcats look to bury any hope that the Bearcats have of an NCAA birth. Cincy is probably headed for the NIT tournament, barring a sweeping run through the final games and conference tourney.
Cincy has a top future NBA player in Yancy Gates. However his inconsistent play on offense has prevented the team from the big time, especially against top ranked opponents.
Nova has great leadership in Scottie Reynolds and Corey Fisher. Look for those guys to establish themselves quickly tonight, erasing any hopes Cincinnati might have for an upset.

Tonight My picks involve some of the same teams from last night.
Nuggets @ Wizards
Well it's a new beginning for the Wizards. Trying to quickly dissolve themselves of the entire Gilbert Arenas debacle, Washington has made a bunch of moves to spark new chemistry for the organization. They cleared cap space, but now have a mish mosh team.
there's some talent here in Mike Miller, Josh Howard, Ilgauskas, and Oberto. But don't expect this team to be very competitive for the remainder of the season, and certainly not tonight against the hot Denver Nuggets.

Cavaliers @ Bobcats
The Cavs are coming off last nights loss which ended their home(12 gms) and overall(13 gms) win streaks.
Although the Bobcats have played well in spots, they'll be hosting an angry Cavs team tonight that is looking to keep the pedal down on the lower level teams in the league.
Lebron, despite the triple double last night, missed some key shots down the stretch. Don't count on that happening again tonight.
Look for the game to be close but Cleveland should pull this one out.
