KNICKS Familiar Heartbreak in Boston
The Knicks happy to be in the playoffs and now facing a big uphill battle against an experienced Celtics team. They almost stole game 1 of their eastern conference 1st round matchup Sunday night.
Knicks actually blew it. they had the game! but then a horrible call under a minute to go on Carmelo Anthony, began the ending curse for New York.
Melo was having a bad shooting game (5-18) but you can't as a referee call that foul in that spot with the game on the line. you have to let the players play and decide the outcome. Then of course Ray Allen hits the huge 3 followed by Anthony taking a miserable shot from deep three land when he could have easily dribbled closer for a better shot or a 2 point attempt to tie.
Either way a tough loss when opportunity was alive. Now they must hope for the same intensity in game 2 but seal the deal this time.
NYK did a good job containing Pierce (18pts) and Garnett (15pts) but it was Allen who got loose for 24 that ultimately did them in.
Knicks were on target with Stoudemire at 28 & 11 boards, but need more of him down the stretch and for Carmelo to rise up and get his shot in focus.
Knicks need to come out on fire in game 2.
KNICKS LUCKY 7
The NYK secured their first winning season on record in 10 years with their victory over Indiana 110-109, without Amare Stoudemire.
Knicks win seven in a row and are hot rolling towards the playoffs.
It will be a wild shootout in the East.
2 more tune up games and then it's playoffs 2010-11.
Knicks look to rap up 2nd place over Sixers.
Wherever they finish, the Knicks are a dangerous team to face in the 1st round.
It sure is exciting! Enjoy the roses NYK Fans.
KNICKS Fly over HAWKS
The Knicks have proved inconsistent since acquiring Carmelo Anthony, and it makes sense.
The team is still learning about each other.
Horrible losses to the Cavs, and Magic but big wins over the Heat and last night the Hawks in Atlanta.
Knicks came into the ATL short handed but guys stepped up winning 92-79
Rarely used Roger Mason and persistent Toney Douglas helped make up for the loss of players and the off night by Carmelo.
Amare certainly did his part with 26pts and 7 boards.
Hawks held to 79 points missing a tremendous amount of open shots. Credit to the Knicks tenacious defense led by spy rookie Landry Fields.
Knicks heavy week with 3 more games in 4 nights.
Utah next. Knicks Knack happy!
NEW WORLD KNICKS!
It's the start of a new world for the New York Knicks.
For years Knicks fans have wanted the organization to go out and trade for a huge superstar. Now the Knicks brass has responded delivering Carmelo Anthony and his 25pts per game average.
Last night in his debut along with the veteran savvy Chauncey Billups, The Knicks beat the Milwaukee Bucks 114-108. Carmelo scored 27 pts but did not shoot well (10-25).
He'll be Improving that touch for sure.
Billups however was huge with 21pts hitting 12/12 free throws, and dishing out 8 assists.
Amare ever so smooth and efficient scored 19pts, but clearly the guys need time to get in sync.
The fact they held off the Bucks to get the Victory was great.
Every game I will expect this team to gel and be highly competitive.
This stretch of the season is going to be fun Knicks fans, and for all NBA followers.
For tonight the celebration at MSG was filled with cheers and big smiles and lots of new #7 Jerseys!
The Knicks have their new floor general now, hot shot scorer, and dominant power forward.
It's all looking bright for the future of Knicks Basketball. The city has been saved!
Between Steve Lavin and how he rectified the St. Johns program, and now what The Knicks are doing?
NYC Bball is looking up!
Go NY Go!!
KNICKS BREAK UPBEAT
KNICKS go into the break off a big win at home against the Hawks.
NY stands at 28-26 and it's future is progressive.
However despite the amazing play of Amare, Felton and Chandler it's clear the Knicks must land Carmelo Anthony to be able and compete with Boston, Miami and Orlando.
Melo wants it, Knicks want it, the fans want it, but for some reason The Nuggets don't seem to want to do any favors for New York?
NYK cannot allow the Nets, Lakers or anyone else interfere with their plans.
I don't think though they can risk waiting either. I know Knicks brass was hoping to acquire him as a free agent and not give up anything, but it looks like they won't be able to do that. Hopefully they won't have to part with much.
Basketball is alive and relevant in New York again.
1 more piece and it could be heyday payday!
KNICKS CLIPPED
The Knicks have been having an incredible season so far, but every now and then they seem to need a reality check. That came in the way of a momentum surging LA Clippers team, led by the NBA's most sensational rookie in 10 years Blake Griffin.
The Clippers beat the Knicks 116-108 @ MSG behind a modest 21pts and 6 rebound performance by Griffin.
The true leaders of the game were surprising ones, as Baron Davis had his best game of the season on the biggest stage scoring 16pts and dishing out 16 assists.
Randy Foye who had not done much all season exploded scoring 24pts with 15 4th quarter points to Ice it for LA.
Knicks just took too long to get into it. By the time they did it was too late.
Knicks weren't horrible, but just did not play any defense or show much intensity or enthusiasm.
Amare had 23 but Gallinari despite hot from the free throw line, could not hit from the field.
Toney Douglass had a hot 2nd half spurt on offense but could not put the team over the hump.
Hand it to the Clippers. They're playing confident basketball led by their young guns, and mixed in last night with some veteran leadership.
NYK have what you would consider the more difficult LA matchup when the Lakers come to The City on Friday featuring Kobe and company.
Clippers stay on this road trip and can add to the futility of the Cavs in Cleveland on Friday.
KNICKS Solve 6 game losing streak with help of WIZARDS
The NY Knicks broke their 6 game losing streak against a team worthy of losing, and that's the Washington Wizards who extended their road losing streak to 21 games from the start of the season. That's 0-21.
Knicks on the other hand remain 2 games over .500 with a well balanced aggressive attack. Amare led the way of course with 30pts 9 reb and 5 assists. while his point guard leader Felton added 17pts and 15 assists. The floor general the Knicks have needed is coming through big time.
Chandler was a major contributor with 25pts while Gallinari is still finding his touch off the Injury, but still added 17.
Let's face it though, the Knicks won a game they had to win, or else it would have been a season low against the leagues worst road team.
They pulled it out though and can lead from here.
Wizards will get better. They have some talent with Lewis, Young and Blatche, but they'll need the Wall to develop stronger before they go anywhere significant.
This game was a tuneup for the huge matchup the Knicks face against the Heat on Thursday.
LAKERS Show In Session on KNICKS
The NY Knicks had been one of the hotter teams in the NBA especially on the road.
They came into their game against the 2 time defending NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers with great optimism to show the west coast how far the Knicks have come this season. However The Knicks didn't have it tonight as the old school of Kobe, Fisher, Artest and Gasol got the best of the youthful Knickerbockers.
Everyone was off their game for NY. Amare didn't get it going till late and still scored 23pts and grabbed 10 rebounds. But the rest of the guys were off and missed key opportunities to get control of this game. Chandler 8-18 Felton 4-14, and without Danilo Gallinari Knicks shooting went down fast.
Kobe got his 27pts and has led the Lakers to wins in 6 out of 7 games, but the team still seems to lack cohesion. This was a rough and tough physical game that saw some hard fouls and the passive ejection of Andrew Bynum.
That's the new NBA though!
Knicks blew it in Hollywood! Kobe and the Lakers half court offense settled the younger more enthusiastic Knicks, who were ready to run, but they flat out missed their shots and got blown out 109-87
NYK get back at it in Portland on Tuesday where they've struggled to win throughout their history.
Should be a good challenge.
KNICKS Kick off their SPURS
The New York Knickerbockers are hot hot hot!!
They knock off the #1 team in the NBA San Antonio Spurs 128-115 at MSG.
The garden was buzzing as the Knicks poured it on and kept on scoring.
They landed 72 points in the 1st half alone and never looked back.
The trio of Amare (28pts) Felton (28pts) and Chandler (31pts) did in the Spurs all night long.
San Antonio couldn't seem to catch their breathe as NYK took advantage and kept on pushing.
This was a Huge quality win. Knicks kept the top guns for Spurs at bay despite Tony parker's 25pts, Duncan (5-14) and Ginobli (5-11) were off in the 2nd half.
Knicks are 20-14 and head out on the road as Amare and coach D'antoni go home to Phoenix to play the Suns on Friday.
They'll carry this momentum and continue on their successful road play.
Not a bad record.
10-7 @ home 10-7 on the road.
Go NY Go!!
KNICKS Can't stand the HEAT
The Knicks have added some major excitement to the city of New York and the NBA so far this season.
Amare Stoudemire has been nothing short of spectacular, but when the 1st major challenge came their way this season in games against the Celtics and Heat, NYK failed to get the job done.
They played a tight game against the Celtics losing on a great effort and a few tenths of second short, but were clearly outdone and out of gas when they faced the Heat.
Lebron went off on NY throwing up shots you normally don't see him take.
He clearly wanted to make a point and send a message at the same time that ended up coming in loud and clear.
Knicks were blown out, and more work needs to be done.
However let's not take away all the positive things New York has done lately, including attempting to extend their road winning streak to 8 games when they face the CAVS and Byron Scott's team in Cleveland tonight.
Knicks need to dig a little deeper and have the flexibility to adjust their style when the 3 point run and gun isn't working. The weaknesses are clear but the progress outweighs that right now.
NYK need to shake off the recent losses and keep up the intensity.
Nice having the current league MVP in Stoudemire leading the way.
Only good and positive things to draw from Knicks fans.
KNICKS BIG NIGHT
As wonderful and remarkable as the Knicks recent run has been, tonight's game is against the Mighty Boston Celtics who don't view the Knicks squad as much of a threat.
Amare and Co. will look to change that attitude tonight in NYC.
I say Knicks come out highly aggressive and play a tight knit game with the Celtics.
Knicks have had trouble establishing themselves at home, but the team is on a high and the players and fans are riding it out. Hopefully it continues tonight.
NY just can't get over anxious and must do the little things like boxing out and cutting down on turnovers to really have a chance.
With this game tonight and the Heat on Friday, a lot will be said about what the Knicks really have right now with these big tests.
Knicks on their longest winning streak (8) since 94-95, will extend that tonight with the HUGE Win over Boston at Madison Square Garden.
GO KNICKS!!
NYK HOT HOT HOT!
The Knicks are so officially hot!
They've scorched the road for their best stretch in 16 years with the streak of 7 straight, and have won 5 straight games overall.
Monday night when the Jets were being unnerved the Knicks were offering some payback to the Minnesota Timberwolves and Kevin Love.
Despite the 121-114 victory, Love still went off for 33pts and 15 rebounds. He certainly has the Knicks number. But Amare Stoudemire has the number of the entire league!
He's lived up to everything and more. Another monstrous game with 34pts.
Ray Felton lead the show with a solid 18pts and 11 assists.
Knicks are dialed in. Now they need to keep it going up at home.
Regardless the buzz is generating around the Garden and the NBA world.
You think Lebron would rather be playing with Amare right now instead of his "decision" to play down south?? I think so!!
Knicks at 13-9 have the perfect opportunity to keep this winning streak going with the Raptors coming in on Wednesday.
KNICKS CUT NETS
The Knicks are 10-9 and feeling good about their 111-100 victory over their Cross Tunnel foes the New Jersey Nets.
NJ had no answer for Amare Stoudemire who went for 35pts and 9 rebounds.
For whatever it's worth at this point Stoudemire has definitely lived up to his billing.
He always needs to work on his defensive intensity, but the heart and skillful leadership has been there.
Wilson Chandler played a big hand in things with 27pts and 11 rebounds.
Ray Felton went for 21 and 10 assists.
NYK hot on all sides came back down 3 at halftime to win it.
Brooks Lopez is definitely opening eyes with his 35pt performance for the Nets, but the rest of the team slagged whrn Devin Harris went out with an injury in the 3rd.
Knicks happy and working at getting things straight at home will go to New Orleans for a friday night game against the Hornets.
The progress is good Knicks fans.
KNICKS BACK TO BACK CATS
The New York Knicks are starting to show their fans what it could all be like when the team is focused and engaged.
They've won 5 in a row and an incredible 4 straight road wins. The team hit the .500 mark when it completed back to back wins, home and away against the Charlotte Bobcats winning 99-95.
Ray Felton came back to stick it to his old team with 23pts and 13 assists.
Felton, Stoudemire and Gallinari have been the trio force that's driving this Knicks 5 game win streak. Although it's come against losing teams, the Knicks are taking care of business.
Knicks come home for a Saturday matinee against a struggling Atlanta Hawks team.
Hope for the The Knicks to keep this intensity and ride it out, especially at home where a presence is needed to be established.
Good recovery NYK. Keep it coming.
KNICKS Stop bleeding with KINGS
NYK Basketball was spiraling out of control early this season.
Wednesday's win against the Sacramento Kings just might get things turned around.
Knicks controlled the game from half time on to win 113-106, led by Gallinari and Amare's 27pts a piece. Stoudemire also grabbed 10 boards in breaking the Knicks slump.
NY has a shot at 3 straight road wins on this trip by getting payback against David Lee and the Warriors Friday night in the Bay area, followed by Saturdays doable win against LA Clippers.
Knicks need to push the momentum inside. Cutting down on 3's and going to the basket has helped greatly.
The team can rest well and gear up for the back to back potential wins.
They definitely can do it!
KNICKS WIN Up against The WALL
The Knicks are officially off to a good start this year.
They destroyed the Washington Wizards friday night at MSG 112-91.
Toney douglas has been phenomenal at guard for the Knicks.
I called it in the off season that this guy was going to lead the team with or without the acquisition of Ray Felton.
Douglas coming off a career night in Chicago on Thursday, pushed it again with 19pts and 10reb. Felton, who's been solid as the Knicks starter added 13pts and 10 assists.
This combo has been the difference for NY in their 3-2 start to the season.
Amare has also been excellent supplying the needs and intensity for a winning club adding 19pts. and 8 boards. He needs to cut down on the turnovers, but his presence pays dividends.
The team also kept quiet the garden debut of #1 pick John Wall (13pts 7reb)and the return of Gilbert Arenas, who had a confident 18pts.
Knicks upbeat for a daytime showdown with division Foe 76ers on Sunday.
A contest NY should be well in control of.
Knicks have been in every game. So far so good.
KNICKS Start right track New Era
The New York Knicks started their new era off right winning on the road in Toronto 98-93.
Amare Stoudemire was awesome with 19pts & 10 rebounds for his Knicks debut.
He played with energy and dexterity like Clyde and all Knick fans were hoping to see.
The support was good especially off the bench where Wilson Chandler quickly adjusted to his new role with 22 pts and 8 reb. Chandler looks like he has a chip on his shoulder and is ready to take it out on the league. Hopefully he can stay consistent with that.
Other notes came from the solid point guard play of Raymond Felton who contributed 15 pts and 6 asssists, 6 rebounds. Gallinari added 12.
So the Knicks new formula works for this game and the 1st win against a Raptors team that won 5 straight against them. Now that's taken care of Knicks can focus on game #2 going to Boston Garden on Friday. Should be fun.
KNICKS FINALLY LAND A BIG ONE!
The NEW YORK KNICKS have finally landed a top free agent. Not the big fish they're still hoping to catch, but the secondary piece to compliment a potential King.
As of today the Knicks are very much still in the Lebron James hunt after agreeing in principal with former Suns star Amare Stoudemire on a 5 year 100 million dollar contract.
Supposedly now the signing of Stoudemire should lure either Lebron or Duane Wade to join him in NYC.
Amare is a very talented player who should bring excitement at the forward position to MSG next season, but he can't do it alone. So the Knicks still have their work cut out for them. They acquired one huge piece to the puzzle, now they need their big prize.
Knicks Intelligence will be key down the stretch this week, and a free agent period with interest in basketball in July has the NBA buzzing right now.
More to come Knicks fans. Keep the faith!
Knickerbocker Rundown
The strangest days in the history of the New York Knicks have finally come to a close for the 09-10 season. This is the time we've all been waiting for ever since Knicks front office started overpaying for everything in site 8 years ago. Through the brain trust of Donnie Walsh and Mike D'antoni, the Knicks are sticking to their plan to have cleared enough cap space to bring in the top echelon free agents this summer. We're not sure who it's going to be yet, but we know somehow that money will be spent well.
The result may not be what Knicks fans are dreaming of, but it for sure will be better than anything we've seen the last several years.
This is the time fans. This weird season NY had is over, and most of the players on the roster are on 1 year contracts or minimum deals. No major commitments to anyone, although you hope and pray that David Lee will be back to join the likes of Gallinari and Douglas. Everyone else is pretty much expendable. If Tracy Mcgrady can find his timing and rhythm, and will come in at a low rate, he could be a good influential veteran to have off the bench.
Whatever it will be, Knicks fans are expecting a lot!! We've all been extremely patient, and we want a big payoff! We'll spend the money, just send us our future franchise players...please!
The fact that the NYK finished at 29-53 is insignificant...it means nothing. They could have had 33 wins or 20 wins, it was not going to matter because we knew what was ahead...and during the season the Knicks did more salary dumping making moves all over the place. On the court they tried to motivate who was ever out there...but never was it a cohesive "team" this year.
So the future looks bright, because that's all we have to look at.
I'll check back in around draft time...where not much is expected with the Knicks.
They're all about the free agents, and we can't wait to hear who they get.
Just remember and say your prayers to the King.
The YEAR Of Waiting
The Knicks wrap up their season with a game tonight against Washington Wizards, and then close out Weds with Toronto Raptors.
Let's face it Knick fans, this has been the strangest season in the history of the team?
If ever there were a team in transition, it's the New York Knickerbockers.
I call this "The season of waiting"...because that's all the Management, Owners, Fans and players have been doing, waiting for the Knicks to spend all that salary cap money.
Waiting for this dreary, unfocused, unimportant season to end, so we can all get on with our future, with the King or without him. Whoever the Knicks sign this summer should greatly Improve the Ball club Immediately.
For now the reality is still that NY has 2 games left. they'll try and salvage what they can, as there are some bright sports here in Gallinari, David Lee, and Toney Douglas.
It's all about pride for these last 2 games, and hopefully the Knicks will exemplify that tonight and go out with a little gusto...or at least to entertain their fans and the loyal crowds that still come out to MSG.
Season final Report Friday
POOR KNICKS
The Knicks give it...and then the Knicks take it away.
That was the follow up to the Impressive win over the Celtics the other night.
Last night though in Basketball USA Indiana, the Knicks were up and down all night against the Pacers, and eventually lost 113-105.
The Team defense is just horrifying. Although we've seen some sparkling play from the likes of Toney Douglas, and newcomers Bill Walker and Earl Barron, this Knicks team just needs to end! and it will in 2 games and we can get on with our lives and our future, back where we belong in the playoffs every year!
Good night now.
IN BARRON WE TRUST?
The New York Knicks continue to be unpredictable this season.
Coming off a horrid 5 game west coast trip, in which they lost 4 of 5, NY came home to face former Knick Nate Robinson, and their rival Celtics.
Knicks got up for this one though, with a career high 31pts from Gallinari, and 17pts from new discovery, D leauger Earl Barron. Barron was tough in the middle and helped contain Boston's big men. Knicks win it 104-101, with strong play at all guard positions, including contributions from Duhon, Rodriguez, and stud rookie Toney Douglas.
It's frustrating Kinicks fans, but the wait is almost over. A win like last nights game makes you feel good about today, but we all know it's what the Knicks will do this summer that we all care about for our future.
However it is nice to see some of the pieces that you hope will be here next year, play so well.
Carry on Knicks, and go get your prize!
KNICKS SALVAGE
The Knicks salvaged their horrendous west coast road trip with a victory over the NBA's worst this season, The LA Clippers.
Knicks had gone 0-10 against the Clips since the Staples center was built, and had not swept a season series against them since 98.
Al Harrington(26pts) posted up some big shots on a frustrated Baron Davis down the stretch.
Davis had 23pts and 11 assists, while Kaman backed him with 22 & 16reb.
But poor decision making at the end coupled with Lawler's Law, The Knicks beat the Clippers 113-107.
David Lee has been NY's picture of consistency with 29pts 10reb, and would not let the Knicks be denied last night.
For LA it's a nightmare season that can't end soon enough.
For the Knicks it's about what could have been, and what may come in their dreams ahead.
For now NY will go home to face The Celtics on Tuesday. No great expectations for anything to happen these last few games, except for the pride of the players, team and fans.
Brighter days are ahead Knicks fans... I promise!
KNICK KNACK PATTY WHACK
As predicted the Knicks have struggled on this west coast trip 0-3 so far.
They have their best chance of victory tonight against the worst of their opponents, The Golden State Warriors. However the Warriors under, Former Knicks rental coach Don Nelson, has owned NY the last few seasons. In fact Knicks have lost 13 of 17 games against the Warriors. Plus on top of that, NY Injuries are playing a factor.
Knicks will be without Al Harrington tonight, who's been their lethal scorer.
Knicks already thin up front will need to run and outscore the Warriors if they plan to salvage anything on this trip.
I love the Knicks, but this stuff is painful to watch, especially if you don't se the effort.
Sometimes it seems as if they're just coasting.
With eternal optimism we can focus on finishing positively.
However July is where are heart is.....
Hang in there Knicks Fans!
Old Knicks Haunt
The Knicks finished the week beating the 76ers twice, but they also lost to Boston,
and then Houston today.
Some recent castoffs came back to bite at their former team.
Jared Jeffries and Jordan Hill stepped into key roles in helping the Rockets take down the Knicks 116-112 at MSG.
The Knicks couldn't seem to squeeze any production out of Hill when they had him...
a wasted 1st rounder.
Only to then watch him score a career high 13pts against them!
Jeffries pulled off his usual defensive gems, drawing 3 charging calls in the 4th quarter.
Tracy Mcgrady has played well in spots, but seems unable to sustain his intensity for long stretches. Either because he's just not in full game shape, or he's simply only half the player he used to be.
Overall the defensive effort by this team was weak. NY needs to dig deep and match the punch that Denver will bring to town on Tuesday. Then they embark on a difficult west coast road trip starting with Phoenix on Friday.
The Knicks should match up well against both teams, because they like to get out in the open court and run. The Nuggets are well rounded and deep, but they could be caught if NY jumps on them early. On Friday, they can make it a good homecoming for coach D'antoni, by giving a solid running attack against Sir Nash % Co.
Knicks Update
Believe me, I'm happy the Knicks won tonight against Atlanta at the Garden,
Even though I predicted The Hawks would win....and they almost did.
Knicks win 99-98, holding off the Hawks on the doorstep to the rim where the ball got tipped in by Al Horford at the buzzer, but it was late.
Knicks hold on to a game that they controlled throughout.
It's just the inconsistent play of this team that gets me?
Maybe I expect too much?
But is it too much to ask for Inspired play every night?
I like some key players on the team, and believe guys like Gallinari, David Lee, and Wilson Chandler are true bright spots. Gallo does need to continue working on his conditioning and foot work, but his offensive range is incredible.
I certainly hope to see these 3 on the team next season.
NY now embarks on what is normally their toughest road trip of the season,
when they head through Texas.
This will be a true character test for this weeks road games, starting 1st with San Antonio on Wednesday.
UPDATE:Knicks played it predictably and lost to the Spurs by 10.
An uneventful game, with very little enthusiasm on the part of the Knicks players.
David Lee's 21 & 10 was the only bright spot for NY.
Knicks just clinched their 9th straight losing season....ouch!
There's absolutely no way that the Knicks will be this bad next season.
for now.... up next Dallas Mavs on Friday.
New York Knick rentals?
The New york Knicks made some more moves at the NBA trade deadline, that will only further help their cause and goal, which is to be far under the salary cap, and sign top free agents this summer.
In that mix of transition, moving fan fav Nate Robinson to Boston, and others such as Jared jeffries to houston. The Knicks acquired a guy who just 2 years ago was a bona fide franchise player in Tracy Mcgrady. The question is, does Mcgrady still have it?
can he avoid the injuries and return to his superstar status?
Many in knickerbocker land believe he's a rental for the remainder of the season. i hope it's more of an audition....where he can show his skills, and the knicks can decide if he's a good fit to go along with whatever new free agents they sign. Being that his long term deal expires at the end of the season, knicks could probably get him at a bargain price. I hope it does work out. With his experience and poise, Tracy could be a huge asset to the growth of this team for the next few years.
For the rest of these guys, it will be about setting yourself up for next season, and determining who has the heart and endurance to last in the Big city.
Mike D'antoni is biting his tongue with patience.
Knicks look to make some sense out of the rest of this season
The New york Knickerbockers came out of the all star break against the Bulls in Chicago and got punched in the mouth losing big. They have a chance to redeem themselves tonight in the 2nd of the home and home against the bulls.
Knicks came out very lethargic against the Bulls, who have played extremely well over the last 25 games.
I think we'll all know very quickly whether or not this Knicks team will try and make a strong push towards the finish of the season that might attract a top free agent to want to come to NY next year. Or maybe some of these players are thinking they won't be here so who cares? There could be some trade movement as the deadline approaches.
Tmac might be coming to town, but unfortunately the exciting Nate Robinson might soon be Knick history.
The Knicks front office has invested greatly in the philosophy of Mike D'antoni as head coach, and no matter how they finish this season, with the salary cap space the Knicks will have this summer, could almost guarantee....at least on paper, that they'll be a better team next season.
Who will it be?
what free agents will want to come and win it in the Big Apple?
Lebron, Wade, Bosh, Boozer?
This should be one of the more exciting free agent periods ahead this summer in NBA news.
Ny Knicks get blown out on the road
Ny Knicks get blown out on the road to hapless Timberwolves. A team they blew out just last week at home? makes that win feel meaningless at this point... to let Minn gain control of a game tied at 63 with 5 to go in the 3rd.....and get dismantled by a power forward named Love who should be a JR. right now at UCLA....
